Hey guys, new around here. Who do I bribe so James reacts to the incredible 'Interstellar' .
2020-12-28 00:41:17 +0000 UTCBarry Lyndon is the single most visually impressive film ever put to celluloid. Kubrick did something astonishing with that film. Id even rate the visuals above Lawrence of Arabia. For my second, voted for Jesse James, because itβs not far behind. Roger Deakins firing on all cylinders is truly a sight to behold.
2020-12-27 11:56:32 +0000 UTCwas really rooting for american beauty π€§ iβm depressed, split kinda trash too

2020-12-24 23:36:42 +0000 UTCDo you take requests? If so, please consider adding, if you havenβt already seen it, Wong Kar Waiβs In the Mood for Love. Christopher Doyleβs cinematography is absolutely sumptuous.

2020-12-24 23:22:38 +0000 UTCFalling Down is GREAT!
Brittyn Lindsey
2020-12-24 03:53:35 +0000 UTCSome other fantastic, not well known "hidden gems"... Michael Douglas - Falling Down; Kurt Russel - Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Soldier (1998), Escape From ... (series)
Eldarth
2020-12-24 03:42:48 +0000 UTCDamn, those are some good choices, but I have to go with Barry Lyndon. As much as you love cinematography you'll love Barry Lyndon.

2020-12-23 20:53:35 +0000 UTCToo many good choices lol, but go Moon!

2020-12-22 05:31:37 +0000 UTCThe Game! A really hidden unknown gem - I think one of Michael Douglas' best. Fantastic thriller/mystery.

2020-12-21 19:47:04 +0000 UTCIn my humble opinion, My Cousin Vinny is just about the best comedy ever made. Very few comedies ever use their screen time as efficiently for so much great characterization while constantly making you laugh. All the actors in the movie get their time to shine and fill out their characters, and it's really one of the most underrated comedy casts ever between Joe Pesci, Marissa Tomei, and Herman Munster himself Fred Gwynn in his final film before passing away. It's a must watch, from back once upon a time when comedy films were still allowed to win Academy Awards.

2020-12-21 19:24:54 +0000 UTCI'm all about this list! I'd add True Romance in there too. Would be great to see James's reaction to Gary Oldman in that movie compared to how he was in Leon: The Professional.
Dustin Bruce
2020-12-21 19:19:31 +0000 UTCCould you please consider adding Gattaca to your list? You also might like Last of the Mohicans

2020-12-21 18:48:19 +0000 UTCI will never, ever stop fighting for Barry Lyndon.

2020-12-21 18:31:43 +0000 UTCCOME ON AMERICAN BEAUTY π©
Lily
2020-12-21 18:29:12 +0000 UTCI used to love American Beauty, but these days I just can't watch Kevin Spacey perving over a teenager for two hours. Too bad because it's a fantastic film with a message that really stays with you.
Dustin Bruce
2020-12-21 18:26:40 +0000 UTCI'd see your Shining and raise you to A Clockwork Orange.
Dustin Bruce
2020-12-21 18:25:29 +0000 UTCWrote this in the latest poll but perhaps you didn't see it. Barry Lyndon is not one of Kubrick's more popular movies. If a Kubrick movie should be on the poll, it should be The Shining. It's the one that people know the most and definitely the most layered one.
Shehab Dawoud
2020-12-21 18:19:48 +0000 UTCIn my opinion it's among the best comedies ever made. Very few comedies ever use their screen time as efficiently for so much great characterization while still making you laugh. I'd even go so far as to call it the Seven Samurai of comedy. That is, if that title didn't already belong to Some Like It Hot!
Dustin Bruce
2020-12-21 18:19:32 +0000 UTCSorcerer is a very good movie but I prefer the original, The Wages Of Fear. The French movie from 1955 doesn't suffer from the censorship in American movies from that period and the characters are just amazing. Feels like watching a long forgotten species of mankind fighting against the threat of extinction.
Paul Steffens
2020-12-21 18:16:46 +0000 UTCThere are so many good choices: Moon, Barry Lyndon (one of my favorites) but Wages of Fear is fun, and by extension so is Sorcerer. Great soundtrack
Penultimate Tommy Wiseau
2020-12-21 17:57:30 +0000 UTCSo little love for My Cousin Vinny. Not the most creative movie but damn it's SO funny.

2020-12-21 17:52:11 +0000 UTCHoping for Moon and Split. Split is the movie that made me love james mccavoy as an actor, heβs amazing in that film
James Miller
2020-12-21 17:43:44 +0000 UTCPerhaps in addition to trainspotting 2 - please also consider checking out The Acid House, an absolutely surreal Irish film based on another Irving welsh novel that stars much of the same cast as trainspotting, and made around the same time as the original trainspotting. The acid house is just as funny,/strange/horrifying/strange/brilliant as trainspotting - and was critical in my film exploration. Check out the trailer to see if you are interested, or watch the whole film on YouTube at https://youtu.be/_hajtcGZY98
2020-12-21 17:43:34 +0000 UTCMoon is amazing. I remember working at the theatre when it came out. Recommended it to everyone who came in

2020-12-21 17:17:06 +0000 UTCOut of this list I would say Ford v Ferrari and Tombstone as my top two in this list. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford would be third.
Cody Price
2020-12-21 17:06:33 +0000 UTCThis is finally Jesse James' poll, I can feel it in my veins.
