completely agree with that, WAVES is truly an underrated masterpiece
2020-12-23 23:05:16 +0000 UTCWild that waves only got 6 votes... Highly recommend watching waves even though it didn’t come close to winning or even just watch it on your own time because it’s truly a underrated masterpiece
2020-12-21 01:08:18 +0000 UTCIs this really Momento or Memento (2000)? My guess would be the latter, but idbm has an entry for Momento too.

2020-12-19 03:01:27 +0000 UTCI love Barry Lyndon but I don't think many people know too much about it. If you have to pick a Kubrick film, I'd say you should start off with The Shining.

2020-12-17 18:26:32 +0000 UTCSeven Samurai is a masterful piece of work. That, Ikiru and Dreams are so good (I have yet to experience The Hidden Fortress, Rashomon or Yojimbo, but I have no doubt I will love them, too once I get to them. I do own them, though). Seven Samurai is a MUST for any movie fan.
2020-12-16 17:59:57 +0000 UTCSadly, as long as more popular movies keep getting added to the poll I predict Barry Lindon will be like the small kid in gym class when they pick teams for basketball.

2020-12-16 17:46:04 +0000 UTCSo James, during your time as a film student I imagine you probably saw this one, but I would love it if you did a reaction to Seven Samurai. Or alternatively, there's another great Japanese classic called Kwaidan that's pretty obscure these days, despite being one of the most gorgeous movies of the 1960s. Adding either one to your poll would make me very happy, and likely to keep being a Patreon for awhile just to vote for it.

2020-12-16 17:43:09 +0000 UTCHey James, is this where we suggest movies to add to upcoming polls? If so, I'd like to nominate The Thin Red Line
2020-12-16 16:56:18 +0000 UTCFor sure! Shoot me a message before Monday to remind me!

2020-12-16 14:05:21 +0000 UTCYes I believe I’ve seen that! It’s actually on the channel!

2020-12-16 14:04:57 +0000 UTCCan you please put Animal Kingdom (film) on your next list? It is one my country’s (Australia’s) better films and is superbly well done
2020-12-16 12:20:15 +0000 UTCHave you seen the Korean film, Old Boy, yet? How can I add it to your next list?
2020-12-16 06:00:16 +0000 UTCI voted for these two as well. If you liked city of god you should check out city of men - the tv show spin off that ran for four seasons. Same actors writers and directors as the movie. It’s absolutely superb - especially the first few seasons!
2020-12-16 05:57:00 +0000 UTCYou should check out Seven Psychopaths.

2020-12-15 20:24:55 +0000 UTCCityof God is the best movie on this list, objectively speaking, But Fargo is probably the most entertaining. So many good options though... can'tdecide.

2020-12-15 05:43:08 +0000 UTCIf it stays in, I am going to keep voting for it!
2020-12-15 02:44:53 +0000 UTCI still hope you will put Once Upon A Time In The West on the poll some day, unless you have already seen it. And some movies by Kurosawa, like Ran or Seven Samurai.

2020-12-14 19:14:24 +0000 UTCI am a little biased about Blind Spotting as it was filmed in my neighborhood and around the lake.
2020-12-14 19:13:10 +0000 UTCMemento is a superb choice. It will knock you out of your socks.
