Thanks, James.... I became a patron mainly to watch Collateral. But your commentary was great great! Seriously. (Two of my philosophy classes in college were about dissecting films, searching for meaning, etc... And watching your reaction I felt like I was back in one of those classes!) 2020-10-28 07:30:57 +0000 UTCFINAL SCENE SPOILERS BELOW: Often overlooked detail, but in the final scene Max wins because he adapts to the windows of the train doors and shoots through the glass. Vincent loses because, despite all of his rhetoric about adaptation, he still uses the standard two shots to the body and one to the head routine that he utilizes for almost every fight and has become accustomed to, failing to recognize the metal in middle section of the doors will block his bullets. Neat little bit of storytelling called back to in an action scene that I wish more movies would do by showing how the character's personalities, hypocrisies, and development affects their actions in the heat of combat.
