The stretch scene animations

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all doing well! I actually had rather relaxed week myself, while I was working on my animations. I’m trying to finish the stretch scene for the wrestlers, and for that I needed to make a twirl animation for each of the three girls.

And that’s what I’ve been doing, let me show you what I made :)

Sketch 

In my last post I already showed you my first rough animation for Tonda. Later on I continued painting over the individual frames till I got a sketch where everything moved nicely.

And once I found the right movement, I had to clean up lines again, and get rid of all the smudges. This part actually takes the longest, and includes a dozen different techniques to blend everything together. Several hours later, the animation then looked like this.

The last step was to add Tonda’s head. This was releatively easy, because the head doesn’t change shape- and only moves around in this animation. And then there you have it, the final twirl animation for Tonda!

Copy-paste, copy-paste

I was great to finally get that animation done. But I still had to make two more :)

However, these next two animations only took half the time to make. Because I could reuse my first animation. However, it wasn’t all that easy. Especially Bosra was a bit tricky; since she has a lot more muscle then Tonda, and so I had to redraw a big part of her upper body.

Bosra

Well, can you spot the differences? What you see below is a copy of Tonda’s animation where I upscaled the arms and shouldres and changed shoe color.

Next I changed her skincolor, gave her some extra back muscles, and added her face. And there we have Bosra’s twirl animation!

Neeva

Neeva was a bit easier again. I could easily downscale Tonda’s body and just had to change the skincolor a bit. I did have to change her shoes, but they don’t move in the animation, so that was easy too. And therefore it didn’t take too long to get to the final result...


The last step was to give all girls their wrestle suits. Here you can see the one I added for Neeva.

And that completes the art for warming up scene, I hope you like it!
