Art: New characters & New website design

Hey everyone!

So this week I've been sketching some new characters :)  

First of all I've been designing 'the junkers'. Those are the two girls on the left,  and they run a recycle-ship that is full of junk (read: useful items!). Now what I wanted to reflect in their designs, was that they are mechanics who rarely meet other people. So dressing properly isn't that important & that's why one of them just wears suspenders... and some power-armor for heavy lifting :)     

Well, you know the cute robot in the middle. I didn't change her, but some of her bodyparts come from the junkers, so I wanted to match their looks a bit.

And then there's 'Vortex Lightning', a badass biker girl that ends up on the Green Beetle as well.  Now  at first I imagined her  like a modern motorcycle racer,  but  that way she looked to much like some other characters. So I decided to  give her a more classic 'black leather look'...ehhh, although it's probably more latex then leather what she wears.

Here you can see the different looks I tried for Vortex. As you can see, I worry mostly about the colour-scheme at this point; the rest follows later.

Now I don't know if these characters will appear anytime soon on the ship (that's up to you!), but doing some initial designs always helps me with writing the stories. And since everything connected, it's kinda important to keep looking foreward :)  

Alternate ending.

Well, besides this I've also been working on the ending of Mindy & Sandy their story. After the girls got flushed away, Keen will go and 'save' them.

Now depending on your jaccuzzi-choice,  you will either end up with Mindy or Sandy. And so I needed 2 versions of this scene. The idea is that Keen will put one of the girls on the sunbed, while the other wakes up before he can do so. And then she will discover what Keen was hiding all along... :)   

Here you can see my rough sketch for the first 2 poses for this scene. I kinda like how clumsy Keen carries the girls & so I'll be drawing 2 more unique poses for the alternate scene.

And last but not least, I've been designing a new website-layout  for Space Rescue :)  

Now  the old one was just a simple setup, that I mainly used to host promotional images.

But I always wanted to make more of it. So when 'TinyHat Studios' offered to design a website for me, I was quite excited! And so I've been making a layout, which they are now converting into an actual website. I've seen the progress & it's already pretty cool!

Here's the layout I made. And as you can see I just re-used a couple of elements from the intro of the game & build a colour-scheme/ visual style around it.

The main goal of the site, is simply to give a clear overview of the game . But it should also be a place where you can later on find the FAQ, Walkthrough & links to things like our discord channel.

Next week I'll do another poll, where you can tell me what you want to see in the next update.

Meanwhile I'll be working on some more backgrounds & some more poses for Mindy & Sandy.
