2025-07-24 03:33:48 +0000 UTCThis was the first drama in a couple of years that I binged into the night and all weekend. It was so gripping. As someone said, it was a different take on the saguek drama in that it focused on the merchant class more than the nobles. The relationships had complexity as the characters often had conflicting feelings about each other. The ending was tough to take but made me think that - despite the dominating presence of LJW/Hongrang - this was really Jae-yi’s story. Loved Jo Bo-ah’s performance. My only slight complaint - in the big fight scenes with lots of men I had trouble following who was fighting whom! Otherwise a “10” for me.
