Friday Watch Share

It’s Friday! It’s almost June! Share what you are watching—come get your next great rec. I was up late listening to Kim Namjoon (BTS) new album Right Place, Wrong Person and I’m impatiently waiting for the next The Midnight Romance in the Hagwon to drop. I need to decide what to watch ongoing so let’s hear all about it xxx

The time looping in Atypical Family is so interesting. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy right? Makes me think about fatalism. He's bound to do what has already happened. It's also sometimes darkly funny because he protests he'll never do something and then does it. I'm really loving that show.

Ramsey (but also sometimes Lindsey)

I have just watched the first episode of Vagabond and holy shit that was amazing. This was as good as any Jason Bourne movie. First it hit me with the feels and then the action was top tier as good as any Holywood movie. Here's hoping they didn't blow the budget on the opening episode because damn that was epic!

First off really enjoyed the surprise AfterNoona Asks with Gavin and Erin this week. Listening to to this just confirmed my self impression that I generally like every kdrama I watch. It takes a lot for me to drop anything but you guys are ruthless. I guess I'm too much of a completionist. I watched The 8 Show last week which I really liked. Funny seeing Chun Woohee playing this role which is so far away from her character in The Atypical Family which has also been great. Not convinced the ML is actually changing anything when he travels back. He's more doing what's already happened. The Midnight Romance in Hagwon is a weird one. I find myself strangely engrossed but I also feel nothing much is really happening. I did like last week's scene where they were hiding behind the door like a couple of kids that have been up to no good. Crash has also been decent. Still feels like a spinoff to Taxi Driver but maybe doesn't take itself as serious. Frankly Speaking has been fun. Quite likeable characters but far from being a top ten drama. Then we have Lovely Runner going into it's final week. For me this has been excellent apart from the dad locked in the bathroom scene. Love everything that's going on. Love the twists. Love the time travel. Love Seon Jae and Sol. Hate the faceless villain and it seems far too late to give him a background story. Anyway, here's hoping for a good ending. Final thing I watched this week was another variety show, The Zone. As all Korean variety shows seem to be it was very funny. Got a second season to watch and a third on the way.
