I found the conversation around idol-actors particularly interesting. It never takes me more than a few seconds to get past the fact that it's a singer (or famous athlete) playing a role on TV or film, provided they're a solid actor. But that might be because I've been involved in theatre all my life, and I'm quite used to seeing people do both musicals and straight plays on the regular. I would bet that it's partly human nature and partly culture that makes us want people to 'stay in their lane.' I've been on the receiving end of this more than once, and it fascinates me. Though I'm certainly guilty of it too... Good example, I taught a yoga class at the Y for many years, and one of the regulars saw me perform in a musical. When they mentioned it after class, many students were floored. "But you're so calm and quiet. How could you ever tap dance and sing in front of an audience? I can't even imagine." As if we don't all carry ourselves a little differently based on the situation we're in. Too funny!

If you watch K-pop, you may have noticed that idols must cover their tattoos when they appear on Korean TV. Fascinating article at https://www.madrabbit.com/blogs/forever-brighter/tattoos-in-south-korea
