By end of weekend I’ll be caught up with QOT and don’t have to hide! Also giant newsflash for anyone with Amazon Prime: A Man and a Woman is now on the site—soft-core Gong Yoo shagging at its finest. How is everyone!? What is delighting your eyeballs.

@Thea - I second every word that you have wrote above. Thanks. Li Xian and Zhou Yu-tong were amazing. This is my first drama of ZYT and I have previously loved Li Xian in Meet Yourself. Tbh I had good expectations for Will Love in Spring and it did surpass my expectations. Watching the drama at times felt like I was reading a book really. And the laugh, love and the fights were real and somewhere in the middle of the drama I felt that there was no way these two people are going to be apart. The pull was much more stronger than the push - just that they needed time to understand it for themselves as against the viewers watching them. Also these were my initial thoughts I posted elsewhere after I finished watching it: I have lots to write which I will do so later but for now heartfelt thanks to the writer/ dialogue writer of this drama 🙏😭. Some scenes towards the end really talked about career women issues when it comes to marriage and balancing love life and career. I legit wanna cry really because I have faced those issues in the past and it is never easy for women to get it all right or have it all. Anyways honestly I never expected a C-drama that talks about these things and especially have a ML understand it all and support it as well.

Yay! I'm so pleased that Caroline and others also enjoyed/are enjoying Will Love in Spring 🌱! I finished it this weekend and absolutely loved it. It's my favourite drama of the last year without a doubt. The characters are beautifully drawn from the townsfolk who experience tragedy, her immediate family, to the two teenagers who played the main characters in flashback. The main characters had incredible chemistry. They both go through a lot and have their own (sometimes unhealthy) ways of dealing with loss and trauma but when they are screen together, laughing, loving or fighting it feels so real and so relatable and you root for each of them, even when they are making some terrible choices in the moment. The cinematography is achingly beautiful. The lingering looks and soft moonlight shots never feel over indulgent but occasionally it distracts from the narrative. I mean, Li Xian is a beautiful man but I've seen him in three other dramas and never been completely distracted by the way the soft light reflects off his bone structure as everything's kicking off at the funeral home. The FL Zhou Yu-tong is new to me. Li Xian could generate chemistry with a wooden bench and still be watchable; here he plays opposite an immensely charismatic and intelligent actress. The screen blazes when they're both on it. In case you were wondering, yes I liked it. 🤣 In other news, I caught up with "Blood Free" which Sarah recommended. It's great and the perfect antidote to my achey heart as I recover from Will Love in Spring. The ML Ju Ji-Hoon looks like he could be Park Seo Joon's older brother. I love Han Hyo Joo in Happiness. I like imagining how her unflappable Special Ops alter ego would be handling all the villains in this.

The Atypical Family premiered this weekend in my area. The first two episodes are amazing. I highly recommend!!!
