CLOY was also my origin story, always grateful to my video editing friend who kept telling me I’d love it, and I trusted her judgement and she was right! I went to Healer and IOTNBO and Mr Sunshine and Goblin straight after. Then I found this crazy podcast that did not 1 but TWO WHOLE episodes of Healer and the villains mole hair, a karaoke rendition of Micheal Loves To Rock and here we are!

2024-04-18 17:25:18 +0000 UTCI started watching Asian dramas in about 2012 when my daughter was home from school for the holidays and suggested we watch Goong - I think it was on some major streaming site then. I still love it and regularly rewatch it (it's on the SBS Classics Youtube site with subtitles!) - I like the balance of youth and adult storylines as well as the balance of intimate (the romance between Chae Gyeong and Lee Shin) and the large (the state of the country and monarchy) – it’s a near perfect classic Kdrama. It also introduced me to many kdrama tropes - family engagements (that no-one says no to!), school bullying, rich boy/poor girl, mean moms, etc.
