Finished Marry My Husband! (spoiler thread)

Happy Marry My Husband finale day, everyone! Amy here, by the way. Poking my head out of the covid cave (it got me again) after just finishing the finale and needing to discuss.

Some brief final thoughts:
1. Na In-Woo and Park Min-Young's chemistry was worth the 16 episodes alone. And good gravy, I did not remember him being such a giant redwood of a man as sad cousin in Mr. Queen. Love. Him.
2. Su-Min is one of the best villains. She is horrible but not for horrible's sake. She has a decent enough origin along with being just completely unhinged.
3. Did I hate Yu-Ra being brought in as a new villain at the 11th hour? Yes. But did it fit the narrative and the rules of fate to give our hero and heroine a much deserved HEA? Again, yes.
4. Was episode 15 better than 16 as far as climax? Yes. The showdown between Min-Hwan and Su-Min was bananas epic. I loved it. I kind of wanted Su-Min's takedown to be just as epic, but it played out how it played out, and it's fine. Same with Yu-Ra's end. As soon as she hopped in the car alone, I knew Ji-Hyeok would lose his blue heart.
5. Loved the flash forward to see how the full ten-year redo went for Kang Ji-Won and Yoo Ji-Hyeok, to see them celebrate her death day as their real new beginning.
6. The last scene in the art gallery with the cherry blossoms floating in (framing the first episode where they blew into Ji-Won's hospital room) was visually STUNNING.

Overall, the drama worked for me. I had my doubts when we got to Yu-Ra's intro, but I'm pleased with how it all turned out. What do you'all think?

If I recall the first time she visits his apartment she mentions the cat and then he tells her it’s the same cat.

Did Jiwon and Ji Hyuk ever talk about their shared past and that cat? Or did I miss it? I came late to realising it was never there. She alluded to remembering the lying on the grass convo but not the college years.

Kathi LOL about the camping trip. How did they even get the flag across the lake in the first place? Agree if we look at this drama through a lens of logic, it loses much credibility. I just chucked my logic goggles into the bin. LOL

I liked MMH for PMY but had quibbles with the story. Most have already been stated (see Truck of Doom) but another that bothered me was the lack of security at the office. Ji Hyuk and his lawyer/HR Mgr talked like security was important, but they didn’t have basic security systems in the workplace. Would Min Hwan have stalked Ji Won at the office and tried to strangle her if there were security cameras in place? In episode 15, Su Min made it all the way up to the 16th floor without having a badge or permission for access. Ji Won was able to have security throw her out, but how did she get to the bank of elevators in the first place? And don’t get me started on the dangers & risks related to their camping retreat early in the season. It was like they were challenging workers to hurt each other. Maybe I worked in government offices for too long, but our idea of a team building exercise was to have groups work on constructing towers out of 20 pieces of spaghetti and a marshmallow. But my biggest gripe, as stated so well by @Ramsey Tate was that Ji Won and Ji Hyuk seemed to be provoking and escalating the violence by our villains and, in doing so, put themselves and others in extreme danger.
