***EDIT*** MY DEMON - Ep. 15 &16 SPOILER THREAD

***I FINISHED, SO BRING ON YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT THE ENDING TOO!***

If you haven't watched the drama (one episode to go), keep on scrolling!

Hi all! Amy here...

Look...do I know logically that K-Dramas do it all: comedy, drama, suspense, action, etc? Yes. Yes I do. But am I continually surprised when I start a drama and feel like it's going to be fun and fairly fluffly, and then episodes 13 and 14 roll in with some big dramatic twists  while episode 15 pulls a Goblin-esque trick on me (that we all knew was coming) that has me shedding tears on the treadmill? Yes. yes. I am. And that is why I LOVE dramas. Even though I know the formula, if a drama executes it well, I'll continue to be entertained.

I saw Deema had some predicions after episodes 13 and 14, one of them being that Jeong Gu-Won would become human, which was my thought too. The only way I feel like he and Do Do-Hee can have a happily ever after is if they are both human because she was horrified after watching him collect on his last contract.

Thoughts? Also this is my first Song Kang and first Kim You-Jung drama, and I love them both!

This show was such a roller coaster of emotions and I really enjoyed the ride. I was really pleased with how they wrapped up all the interwoven backstories/secrets. Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung have excellent chemistry and I would love to see them together again. Fun Korean language tidbit. Cha Cheong Hwa's character is credited as Noh Sook Nyeo (노숙년) which means "homeless woman." It's so interesting to me that Do Hee's adoptive family are mostly Noh as well. Almost like Noh Sook Nyeo could have been a castoff of that family. LOVED her portrayal of God and the nod to her identity with the yellow hat. Also loved the ongoing bilingual pun of Bok-gyu/fuck you. Had me giggling so much. Season 2 of My Demon is going to have to be the conflict of whether he can become a human or whether she can become a demon. Because he's going to stay young and she's not and then what? We go through the same turmoil because she's going to die first? The ending felt a little off because they basically went back to how they were before, just with the villain gone, but not resolving the demon lore. Also, extremely curious about what else that Demon book has to say. We only got snippets and there's so much lore we could have explored. I genuinely thought that Noh Suk Min had read a guide on how to become a demon and was going to do a ritual or something so he could become immortal and truly take on Gu Won. But then he became Two-Face, thinking he could take on a demon? That logic didn't follow through for me. But honestly, pretty minimal complaints in the grand scheme of an excellent drama.

So, I haven't watched Strong Woman yet (I KNOW...I'm very late to the game on this one), but I agree that the gangsters in this were actually pretty fun. They just wanted a boss to serve, and the direction their little arc went with them opening the restaurant was funny and endearing.

Something completely different: I hated the gangster-slapstick in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, but really liked the gangsters in My Demon. What did you think?
