Lia Should Do This

I'm leaving for Seoul in >2 weeks. Now I'm not there long, and I AM NOT GOING TO MAGIC LAND (talk to Sarah here, she went, she can dish). But what would you like me to go see/do/experience that would add some joy to your life. My daughter cannot carry me piggy back so a drunk Soju session is likely also off the table.

City mapper looks rad!

Seoul Tips - Stay north of the river, we stayed in Gangnam and it was 1) pretty dead on weekends and 2) most things we did were on the north side of the city so it added a lot of time on the metro - Google maps doesn't work in Korea. I found Kakao maps and Naver maps hard to use, however City Mapper (which is quite popular in London where I live) worked very well for navigating transit in Seoul - Seoul Forest was great for a picnic and to walk around, the area just north (around seoulsup 2-gil) has a ton of cafes that sold picnic lunches and had cute little shops - Samcheong-dong Street near Gyeongbokgung Palace had tons of cute shops - Gyeongbokgung Palace was great. If you wear hanbok you go for free and skip any lines for tickets. They have free tours - ours was done by these amazing youth ambassadors. - Bugak Palgakjeong has beautiful views of Seoul and the mountains north of the city. I have no idea how to get there as a wonderful colleague in Seoul drove us there. When we went it was pretty empty and lovely to see the views - https://www.airbnb.co.uk/experiences/405465 this food tour was amazing. Do not eat before. Go very, very hungry
