A dumb ouch
Added 2023-07-13 16:16:19 +0000 UTCToday I hurt my back carrying an 8 foot cat condo from the downstairs to the upstairs.
This is a sentence I never expected to write.
My cat is determined to be an outdoor cat and given the fact that a) I don’t want him to eat birds or lizards and b) we live surrounded by 100 coyotes that would love to eat him I’m constantly harshing his party.
It’s a lovely summer day here on the California coast, warm and sunny and no heat wave in sight. So I thought maybe if I move his giant cat tower from my son’s room to the balcony that will spark joy.
I’m not a pet person but I like all beings to live their best lives.
No one else is home and I wanted it done. So I carried the thing up two levels of stairs got it outside and the cat scoffed and stalked away.
And now my back is like what the hell were you thinking?
And this is the new dumbest way I’ve injured myself.
