So! Some of you have come to me expressing concern over the recent paypal email.
Understandably so! It sadly seems the only recourse available to me on my end is to reach out to declined patrons (which I have done in the past).
As I've said to another, it sounds like they're trying to justify this move after the stuff that happened last month--I guess some patreons' patrons payments got listed as declined for fraud, and they're trying to say this is the reason; To me it sounds like a whole lot of crap, because how is the bank able to distinguish between an adult oriented patreon and an SFW one if it's all just a payment going towards Patreon? I dunno. It sounds like a punishment towards adult patreons. But I digress.
I cannot see on my end what goes on between you and the bank; if you receive the 3% charge on your end this month, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! I'd like to know whether this is an outlier situation (as they're suggesting, that it's based on bank to bank), or if ALL of you have been charged the 3%.
I suspect that if your payment went through without a hitch last month, you might not get that 3% charge this month. I just have no way of knowing if you do or not. So please let me know!
Between this and them withholding payouts last month for 3 weeks (which I didn't want to bring up and cause problems with), my 3 months on Patreon have not so far been impressive. =O= Hopefully this will all work out and if not, I'll work out some solution. D:
