Where do you watch your Kdramas?
Added 2023-04-19 20:51:04 +0000 UTCSo my mother has started watching CLOY, and while she likes it, she only watches it when she's on her treadmill, because she said the TV in her living room is too far away for her to read her subtitles. I told her to watch it on her iPad, and she acted like that never occurred to her, lol.
So Neal (my husband who doesn't wash his face and has toe socks) earnestly wanted to know if that was an issue our listeners have experienced. So where do you watch your Kdramas? Feel free to give more details in the comments. Has reading subtitles been an issue for you? I know it can be an accessibility issue sometimes.

I chose TV because I like watching dramas on the big screen but my viewing is about 50/50 between the TV in my living room and my laptop in bed. Since Viki changed their subtitle format, I have had a harder time seeing them occasionally because white text with a shadow can easily blend into bright or busy scenes. I really don’t want to go to yellow text cause I don’t like the visual but I may play with my settings to see if there are better ones.

2023-04-26 06:09:12 +0000 UTCWith hearing loss and hearing aids, I appreciate subtitles even with English speakers. But I always want so much to have more time looking at faces, setting. I think much is missed when not time to notice the small details…
