I went to a writing conference in Houston last week and got home Sunday, and my brain is exploding with stuff. I also had to cram Little Women since we were recording Tuesday. So all that to say I'm here now! My brain is working again.
Speaking of Little Women, we mentioned on the pod that it is a bit of a makjang, which is a type of show that's basically over the top with premises that are unbelievable. For the record, I loved Little Women. Anyone else have recs for makjangs or very over-the-top dramas? Should I watch Penthouse now? Is this who I am????

2022-11-11 00:02:58 +0000 UTCI loved the first two seasons of the Penthouse (third season bored me, I dropped it halfway through) and the Last Empress by the same writer. I also liked Hotel King and Secret/Secret Love in the genre.

2022-11-10 17:23:26 +0000 UTCPenthouse is absolutely makjang. Really would loveeeee for you all to watch it. It's beyond ridiculous, scandalous, but incredibly entertaining. I binged some episodes. The acting is quite good, especially some of the leads (my fave is Eugene who used to be in one of the OG kpop 90s groups, SES). There are 3 seasons, so pace yourself!
