Yes, I would love a deep dive on Because this is my First Life. I was so caught off guard by that show. I didn't know anything going into that show, and I wasn't expecting it to be good, and then it was so good, I binged it.

2022-09-10 14:57:20 +0000 UTCLia watched it but not the others. They did a “sell me a” podcast and Lia tried to sell the others on it. Though think Amy will watch for Kim Woo Bin alone 😂 it’s on my watchlist too!

2022-08-31 08:26:53 +0000 UTCOh and please deep dive Because this is my First Life!

2022-08-31 08:00:47 +0000 UTCLate to this! Been in a wifi free zone. Finished EAW - I was in Spain and they are weeks behind! I had to pay for a VPN back to a UK server to get my Netflix to pick up my UK account -dedication to KDrama - but I just couldn’t handle everyone talking about the season finale and not watching it myself! Just finished Romance is a Bonus Book which I really loved and was the heartwarming hug I needed this week. We’re on our way home from holidays so when I’m back I’ll do the last episode of Jinxed at First, which I don’t recommend, get the last episodes of Cafe Minamdang which I do and I have just started Tomorrow, which I’m really enjoying and has made me cry already (IMF Dad/singer songwriter) 😭😭

2022-08-31 08:00:21 +0000 UTCI've really enjoyed AoS. I'm about half way through it and love it so far.

2022-08-28 23:09:12 +0000 UTCI’ve been thinking I’m glad I convinced my husband to watch this one with me. It’s helpful to have a buddy to make sure we’re catching everything (or confirm we’re both confused 😂). Of course, he doesn’t get all my gushing though.

2022-08-27 18:51:21 +0000 UTCI remember W being so bonkers! I thought it was fun at first but is took so many strange turns that they lost me by the end. I’ve also liked Lee Jong Suk in other things and thought the leads had good chemistry. The writer and director have both done other well received dramas. So… this is all to say it’s a mystery to me too. 😂

2022-08-27 18:38:22 +0000 UTCGood rec! I think I loved the secondary leads in this one more than the mains. Their arc was soo good!

2022-08-27 18:27:17 +0000 UTCI wish you would tackle Alchemy of Souls, now that part 1 is finishing (I read that part 2 will air in December). Maybe with your help I will understand this wild drama—I was pretty much baffled the whole time that I watched it!

2022-08-26 17:47:25 +0000 UTCHas anyone seen W 2 Worlds? I’m almost done but I don’t know if it’s the acting or the director that makes the LM’s acting bad. I’ve seen Lee Jong-sum in other stuff and like him but this is kinda cringy.

2022-08-25 23:23:55 +0000 UTCThis is late breaking..... but if you haven't watched Doom At Your Service and it's not on your watch list, put it on there! I have never binged so quickly and this drama has skyrocketed into my top 3 dramas to-date. The Afternoonas might really enjoy that many of the characters are authors and editors... and sheesh, thirst traps galore.... and great secondary romance and character arcs!

2022-08-25 17:37:11 +0000 UTCI have seen it. It seemed like a batsh*t but secretly loved fanfiction come to life. I also enjoyed it, but I think I would have enjoyed it more when I was a bit younger. (I'm in my 40s now fwiw.)

2022-08-25 04:11:33 +0000 UTCDid anyone watch Our Blues? I wouldn't mind a deep dive on that. It was really different than most kdramas I've seen in as much as it felt like a collection of connected short stories, but each story was sooooo compelling! I think the first episode had the least gripping story but each of the others seemed to tugged on every emotion in the best way. Plus the cast is stellar ... Shin Min-ah, Lee Byun-hun, Kim Woo-bin ... all so good!

2022-08-24 21:57:52 +0000 UTCWelcome Heather! I started a Viki Plus subscription just to watch Goblin – but then found that it also gave me access to Healer, I’m Not a Robot, and so many other amazing shows that aren’t available anywhere else (that I could find). I use Viki at least as much as I use Netflix.

2022-08-24 20:41:06 +0000 UTCI am partway into The Liar and His Lover. Has anyone else seen it? It is wackadoodle - and problematic in a dozen different ways - but I'm really enjoying it!

2022-08-24 20:24:05 +0000 UTCI also loved SS after ep 2 and wish more people would check it out! And I love your deep dive idea.

2022-08-24 20:20:55 +0000 UTCWould love to watch Goblin, but I can't find where to watch in the UK. Any ideas? It's not on netflix or Disney+ ... frustrating

2022-08-24 10:37:55 +0000 UTCSummer is prime drama watching time, so I've consumed a lot - Sh**ting Stars (after episode 2, so cute), Tomorrow with You (really enjoyed, especially the chemistry between the leads and the thoughtful exploration of fate), Today's Webtoon, Alchemy of Souls, Cafe Minamdang, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, If you Wish Upon Me (I keep thinking something bad is going to happen because the team genie squad has 2 really evil villains - the serial killer from Legend of the Blue Sea and the horrible mom from something in the rain), Legend of the Blue Sea. I've started She would never know and While you were Sleeping - haven't hooked me yet, but I'll give it another episode each. As for deep dives, I'd love to see an exploration of all the works of a specific writer - watching Legend made me really see the similar beats in My love from the Star, Legend and Cloy. As writers yourselves, I'd love to hear your thoughts on themes writers tend to gravitate to time and time again. I've started paying attention to the writers and directors of my favorites to see what else they've done (e.g. Tomorrow with you is by the same director as Hometown Cha Cha Cha and features several of the same actors).
