It’s the Weekend…I think?
Added 2022-07-23 06:22:54 +0000 UTCI’m in the end of a vacation vortex plus navigating a lot of time zones but I just checked and yes it is indeed the weekend!
I’m going to be climbing into a plane on Tuesday to fly back to California with my family. 7 weeks in Australia has been fantastic, and I’m excited to see friends, redwoods, and be happy for my children to reconnect with their beloved animals.
Very happy to hear some recs as I’ll likely Kdrama the entire flight to Auckland and then on next leg to San Francisco. I’m finishing Yumi Cells 2 which I love and hurts me. I also just finished the Thai BL Cutie Pie which was like pure spun sugar fluff.
I’ll be excited to be back and getting the podcast gang back together. I can’t believe this is our SECOND SUMMER. I’m so grateful Megan and Amy aren’t sick of me unplugging mics, having terrible internet and you are all still willing to listen to us. Thank you. I don’t really love to hug but I’d hug each of you in a Covid free manner xxx

You’re not alone re: Alchemy of Souls.

2022-07-25 00:33:09 +0000 UTCWoo Yong Woo, Kim Yumi...and Lee Joon Ki (don't know his character's name but does it matter?) in "Again My Life" are helping me through a bout with covid. Las Vegas transmission levels are no joke!

2022-07-24 20:29:54 +0000 UTCExtraordinary attorney woo makes my wednesdays so exciting, I love this show. I haven't started any new kdramas this week, I'm still watching Into the Ring, our blues and Oh my baby (I-Sang is such a cutie omg). The only thing I started recently is the last season of EXO ladder (the boy group exo's travel show) and they are making me laugh a lot, it's relaxing to watch after work. I'm excited for the new in the soop, I might start it after I'm done with EXO ladder.

2022-07-24 14:44:19 +0000 UTCAdding my voice to the Extraordinary Attorney Woo love. It’s still early, and I hope they don’t drop the ball at the end like A Business Proposal did, but so far it’s mostly been sweet NA with a swoony ML. Like, Jun Ho currently tops my Fave Kdrama Boyfriend list! And 🐳-lovin’ Woo is adorable herself. Otherwise watching and enjoying Cafe Minamdang a lot more than everyone else I know. Heh. SIG dominates, and I’m a sucker for a conman shaman. Who knew? Finally, apologies to anyone enjoying Alchemy of Shadows, which, sorry, is an utter mess. It’s the only show where I’ve EVER wished the main couple DOESN’T get together, because the FL has huge morality problems/consent issues (and is one of the show’s villains, but is being touted as its heroine with her magical hoo haw…UGH!!!) and is manipulative and abusive with the ML…wow, she’s the worst. Some secondary characters - cough the Crown Prince and Maidservant/Steward Kim cough - are all that keep me hate watching. 😂 (The plot is flimsy at best though E11, and needlessly confusing and boring, too.) Double UGH. But that Woo. It’s so good so far! 🐳❤️🐳❤️🐳

2022-07-24 14:41:28 +0000 UTCI tried to think of the fluffiest romance I've seen and I remembered Splash splash love, I think you'll like it, it's sweet and funny, low conflict and only two episodes 😊

2022-07-24 14:29:51 +0000 UTCOn the recommendation of a secret K drama watching co worker, I dropped everything else I was watching(Our Blues,Change Days, Healer rewatch)and binged Vagabond. The next time I see my coworker he’s getting a finger flick to the forehead! Any body else agree? And can some one please recommend a good sweet fun romance drama for me… I need something happy🙏

2022-07-24 02:40:37 +0000 UTCI’m watching Yumi 2, with just one episode left and I’m feeling hopeful - but then again, I went into the final episode of Yumi 1 feeling hopeful. I can’t watch the last episode until tomorrow afternoon, so in the meantime I’m trying to avoid any spoilers. I’m up to date on Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which I’m enjoying quite a lot. I’m also trying to make my way through Happiness. I listened to the spoiler portion of the pod and I’ve watched just about every Youtube video available in preparation because I really don’t do well with anything scary. I’m up to episode 4 and while I’ve let out more than a few yelps I’m sticking with it - I’m so proud of myself! Maybe after this I’ll finally be able to watch Train to Busan!

2022-07-24 01:01:36 +0000 UTCI’m having a tiny fan girl moment over here. Choi Woo Shik just updated his IG Stories with a pic of him arriving at Portland International Airport, which happens to be my local airport. This might be the first time in 3 years that my introvert self is like, “I should really leave the house.” 😂

2022-07-23 23:49:37 +0000 UTCHappy trails! Don't forget to hydrate and give yourself some naptime when you finally make it back. I'm currently wiped out by time zone travel so the most I've managed is 15 min of the increasingly complex Alchemy of Soul and the same amount of (non-kdrama) Persuasion. Would love to discuss both

2022-07-23 19:36:53 +0000 UTCAs everyone else said, Extraordinary Attorney Woo is fantastic so far, so that should be #1, but also Kiss Sixth Sense. It should be available easily there in Australia, but once you get back to the US you’ll need a VPN to access it on Disney+.

2022-07-23 17:32:49 +0000 UTCSafe travels. I would recommend checking out Lady in Dignity. It used to be available on Netflix in the US but not anymore and I’ve been desperate to rewatch it.
