Added 2022-07-16 10:45:58 +0000 UTCWhat are you all checking out this weekend? I’m trying to wrap up Yumi’s Cells 2 wondering why do I torture myself. I also stayed up until 3am rewatching multiple scenes of Kinn/Porsche. I have no chill with that series and need season 2 nowwwwwwwwowowowowowwo.

Heh, sit by me Kara. I hated it enough to bail after two episodes but then went back for a super-fun run -- including the incredible ANGRY KAYAKING scene (!!!), the whole wild sports competition, and Jun Pyo's love affair with street food -- before stupid awful Jan Di made me mad enough to stop again. Someday I will get through the whole thing, but I'm going to have to microdose it!

2022-07-23 22:20:17 +0000 UTCWatching Hotel de Luna and really enjoying it. Visually magical and love the whole concept. Also started Rain or Shine (aka Just Between Lovers) and like it so far. It’s on the heavy side right now and while I wasn’t crazy about the male lead when he was in Wok of Love (actually wanted the secondary male lead to get the girl), I can see why he made this character be spotlighted in that article about the bad boys with hearts of gold.

2022-07-17 19:13:25 +0000 UTCI am slowly still going through Our Blues and Into the ring, they balance each other well, I can choose if I want to watch something heavier or more comedic. I started Extraordinary Attorney Woo right after I finished Hot Stove League, to find Park Eun-bin again but in a completely different role and I love it ❤️ I also started Oh My Baby on a whim because I was craving a romcom, I'm 3 episodes in and very invested already. It's very hot where I live at the moment so I spent all my weekend inside, all the blinds down, blocking all the sunlight in my home, which isn't fun but at least there is kdramas 😊

Of course, I'm still keeping up with alchemy of souls but I'm thinking of doing a rewatch instead (I've got a good memory for shows so I know what's being said even though I still won't know Korean). Dare I watch Run On for the fourth time?

2022-07-17 12:00:19 +0000 UTCI’m watching Yumi’s Cells 2 and I’m loving the current conflicts – especially (**potential spoiler**) the exchange between Woong and BaBi – somehow I found myself rooting out loud for BOTH of them (“Good one Woong!” ”Excellent comeback BaBi!”). I went into episode 12 thinking it was the season finale and started to freak out over the ending so I was glad to find out there are still 2 more episodes to go. Also watching Extraordinary Attorney Woo and I'm smitten with Kang Tae Oh. I started Alchemy of Souls, but I’m feeling pretty lost and I think that's deliberate obfuscation by the writers. And, lastly, I’m watching Rain or Shine (aka Just Between Lovers) thanks to Sarah’s post from just a few days ago on KdramaThis regarding under rated shows – and I’m already up to episode 11.

2022-07-17 05:12:18 +0000 UTCI loved My Father is Strange, and I really wanted to like You’re the Best (IU & Jo Jung Suk!), but I tried when it first aired, before I had an option available to easily fast forward and I absolutely hated all the moms in that show😆 I think I made it to ep 16? It’s on my list to retry now that I can fast forward through all their scenes ⏩

Also wrapping up Touch Your Heart - this one has made me laugh out loud multiple times and has had just the right amount of cheesiness that I needed this week. Trying to figure out what I want to watch next. The decision is always so tough!!

2022-07-16 16:59:13 +0000 UTCI have been into the long af family dramas these days (50-60 episodes). I just am super enjoying the over the top soap-opera-ness of them. They are so ridiculously improbable that it is a very good break from reality to watch them. Plus, they telegraph all the plot twists ahead of time, so it's kind of fun to watch in anticipation of how all of these shockers are going to play out. The last one was My Father is Strange, which I really loved. Now I am onto You're the Best, which is not as good for me, but has an amazing A-list cast.

Choi Young-do forever!!!!! 🔥💛 Moved to Boys Over Flowers and I’m 6 episodes in. I just hate all of these characters so much. There have been a couple fun moments but I can’t imagine finishing this. If the female lead and her dad shove any more food in their mouth and try to talk, I may lose it. Think this is a DNF for me. But who knows. Binged all of the available Attorney Woo and I am in love with every little bit of that show. Loved. Weekend watching is Uncontrollably Fond because I can’t keep my remote clicking away from Kim Woo Bin, but there’s no way this doesn’t have me sobbing in a very sad way so… Onto —> Fight For My Way. Please surprise and delight me, Park Seo Jun.
