2022-06-16 05:12:02 +0000 UTCI totally understand and am only a tiny bit sad for what has been, because they 100% deserve to live their own actual lives. Watching them celebrate, reminisce a bit, and each talk from the heart was so revealing of them as individuals. Clearly each of them has felt part of the group yet lost in the group, and the need to find themselves is written all over them. I agree with Daisy that they will be successful n matter what. And it will be fun—7 times the fun!—to watch it happen.

2022-06-15 14:56:14 +0000 UTCMy initial reaction was thank goodness, they need and deserve a break. Personally I am a lot more sad then I anticipated. Healthy sad I would say. I'm also in a couple of groups on Insta and the love and support ARMY has giving each other during the past day has been incredible to watch. Everyone checking in on each other, offering to host watch parties of Hobipaluza etc. Love BTS and ARMY so much more.

You can’t keep going at that pace, with so much Personal content out there and keep a healthy mental space. It will be so interesting to see where they each venture. This will definitely change their future, with the possibility of not returning to a group. The fact that this decision was made for all of the members and not just 1 or 2 leaving the group shows their maturity. The will be successful no matter what.🥲

2022-06-15 05:10:00 +0000 UTCThey spoke so well and I'm so proud of them for making this choice for themselves at this point in their career. As a baby army it made me sad a little but this is clearly what make the most sense for them right now, so I'm not dwelling on it. The hardest thing was seeing Namjoon cry about his guilt for taking a break and the weight of being an idol, gosh, it took me by surprise and I didn't take it well. He deserves everything.

Arm's refence to idol life make me wonder what exactly is in their contracts - if it was for them as individuals or if it included a certain amount of BTS activity as well. Did anyone else read Jessica Jung of Girls Generation's novel? There's a lot of horrifying information in it about the idol system and almost makes me glad the guys might be getting out of any of that

2022-06-15 04:02:39 +0000 UTCRM needs the whole world, my goodness. I feel as if I wanted to fist pump when he discussed the impossibility of his role. How can he set the creative vision in a way that honors their potential when they are always on the Kpop industry hamster wheel? In short, they cannot. So while BTS as a group goes fallow to grow back stronger, the individual members have a chance to explore in a way they haven’t ever been allowed. It must be scary AND liberating

I would have loved to catch more new content, concerts, etc. That being said, I can’t blame them for wanting a break after nearly 10 years, especially with how much content they put out in addition to their music. Who wouldn’t?! It’s just bad timing on my part. Silver lining? I guess I can now catch up on all the old stuff I missed. And I’m excited to hear their solo work. Anyone whose bias is J-Hope is lucky since he’s first up. As far as the announcement itself, I’ll be curious to hear others’ thoughts on the tone/approach. Did RM seem like he needed a hug, or what?

2022-06-15 03:48:36 +0000 UTCI’ve had some low grade anxiety in the aftermath of that festa video. But I’m trying to stay optimistic, as I’ve already enjoyed some of their solo projects. I love V’s contributions to the Our Beloved Summer and Itaewon Class soundtracks. And Jin’s Super Tuna is a real banger. Doing my best to himnae!
