The raw egg drinking was visceral followed closely by that singing. 😂😂😂

2022-04-21 23:40:25 +0000 UTCProbably I am not a Robot for me, so many scenes in that drama were so visceral for me and I’ve not ugly cried the way I did for that drama since. I also get random Hospital Playlist flashbacks when my mind wants a happy place. I’ll have Ik Jun telling me it’s Wangsimni station (I don’t even know WHERE this station is!!!) or ChuChu savouring steak or the WinterGarden or Bear couple kiss or Jun Wan getting his glasses smashed off or Song Hwa’s raw egg drinking & then bad singing. Oh and the Bon Jovi cover!

2022-04-21 06:34:50 +0000 UTCI’ll stand up for CLOY💪 to me there was nothing wrong with that drama. It was my gateway into my total addiction to all things South Korea. ( sometimes the wrong train brings you to the right station😘)I’ve watched it 4 times.

2022-04-20 16:50:58 +0000 UTCI actually did not like CLOY that much. I watched it but found it slow and the end unsatisfying. I'm glad it wasn't the first one I watched. I am totally with you on Healer and I Am Not A Robot, though. Both were excellent.

2022-04-20 16:41:53 +0000 UTCFor me, it’s Healer first, because it checks all the boxes of romance, drama, humor, action, actors of all types, pacing, and cinematography. The first time I rewatched it (the first of several!), I was almost overwhelmed with how the very first episode perfectly introduced every element of the story to come. Awesome. Second for me is I Am Not a Robot because the emotion is so believable, despite the fantasy, and intense. I’ve rewatched the whole drama and specifically (several times) the scene in episodes25-26 when Yoo Seung-ho’s character explodes at Chae Soo-bin for deceiving and betraying him. That scene is so good. BTW, looking at the comments above, it’s interesting that no one so far has mentioned CLOY, which is almost universally loved.

2022-04-20 05:38:14 +0000 UTCStrangely, the kdrama that haunts me the most is The Crowned Clown. It’s beautiful, and tragic, and won’t leave my noggin, no matter how much time passes. I also think a lot about how IOTNBO, Flower of Evil, Healer, and Goblin’s Grim Reaper storyline are such well-constructed stories in such well-realized worlds that visiting these shows over and over again is incredibly satisfying.

2022-04-20 02:33:38 +0000 UTCSomething in the Rain really stuck with me too. It was only my second Kdrama and I felt so conflicted over it (I loved it, I hated it, and I was so mad at the writer and/or director for screwing it up). One reason I obsessed over it was because I couldn’t find any live discussions to see if others felt like I did. It’s been over a year, so I’m over the angst, but I still think about how I would have written it differently. Nowadays I’m obsessively thinking about I’m Not a Robot. I totally loved it, and I know others in this group loved it too (thank you Megan for including it in your top 3 kdramas!) but I think a lot of folks haven’t seen it and don't have access to it - and I really want them to experience it. Oh Netflix gods, if you’re listening, please add this to your streaming service!

2022-04-19 21:58:00 +0000 UTCI think about Run On so much that I watched it twice more. Something in the Rain haunts me. And the female friendship from Because This is My First Life - I've disassociated it from the rest of the drama and it is a gift.
