Day Watching: YES or NO

I'm deep in the Fated to Love You vortex....I've lost significant sleep in last 2 days AND today I did something I almost NEVER do which is day watch. For me, Kdramas are a strictly evening affair as a rule because I wait until small folks go to bed and then claim MY TIME. But today I snuck away for two hours because I'm literally addicted. So this makes me curious how everyone else watches content.

I do have to be the adult in the room and get a few things done before I settle into any day watching....and put the stove timer on for 40 minutes so I have to get up and move/do something.....during my first few months of obsessive watching, there were many days of only getting up for food or bathroom breaks.....I am a bit better now, lol.

I think for me I have no chill once I get in a roll so I try to avoid day time watching because I …need to work and do adulting. But I also feel like that justification goes out the window when I then stay up until 3am binging. So maybe for me day watching needs to be like drinking soju. I’m a « getting dressed » watcher too!!!

I watch whenever I can. My morning routine does include at least one episode of whatever I am watching and then always watch an episode or two or three before bed.

I can’t stop myself.

I used to be very much an evening only, kids down, MY TIME KDrama watcher. Sometimes hubs would come and try to chat to me at this time, like you know, we were still dating or something - he's learnt better now. BUT I got addicted/wasn't finding enough time without sacrificing sleep continually to fit in the addicition so I do now fit in a day time watch. I manage to watch when I'm getting dressed and drying hair, again when eating brekkie and again when eating lunch, sometimes dinner so i now fit in more. However, for these day time sessions i choose to watch the in-between bits of drama, so never like BIG moments or the finale. Also some times I'm just not "feeling it" and decide I'm going to have a day off then it's GUILT-FREE day to enjoy a daytime KDrama watch

There is a great logic to this!!

100%. I feel like I need to day watch tomorrow for sure. When the binge calls, I must answer ;)

Love this! You deserve best life!!

Ack! I’m so sorry to hear this. Healing thoughts and I hope all the dramas you watch bring much joy xxx

I quit my incredibly time consuming/pressure filled job in the fall and am watching K dramas whenever I please right now with great joy and no regrets!

Lorna

I try to get my real life things done during the day but if I have free time I know where I’m spending it! I actually have covid rn so I have literally so much time for kdramas lol

As I live alone and am retired, kdrama watching happens anytime I feel like it! Today was a day long binge of Homme Fatale, Absolute Boyfriend, rewatch of Parasite, 1 episode of Now We Are Breaking Up(🙄). It's blasted cold here, -26°C, so kdramas all day long is the perfect escape.

I watch some KDramas during the day at work (I’m a home nurse and have a lot of dead time when my patient doesn’t need me) but I will watch certain dramas at night. I guess it just depends on the mood I’m in and whether a show is binge-watchable.

Action/thriller can be watched during the day (eg, Silent Sea, Hellbound) but anything with Romance or even a decent amount of romantic tension is for at night after the kiddo is in bed and w/a glass of wine. This is just how it is.
