After-patch post, plans and stuff

Heeeyyyy, hi, everyone!

ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

Tired of me not posting long and boring reads? I've got you covered!

This is my usual sum-up post that I do after every major update, let's get it started.

1. Future content of v0.10

There's some stuff missing from v0.9 that I didn't have time to put in because I wanted to release it until the end of the month, so I'm gonna start this patch by fixing that.

First, things that are missing are:

Maya in the harem route has no repeatable butt scenes, shame on me! I'm gonna add several minor encounters to Esther's gameplay (similar as to how she gets it, random backdoor events).

Maya in the slut-route has no Melissa+club interactions at all. This is on the list as well. To be honest, I never planned for slut Maya to have anything to do with "compensated stress relief"... I know her downfall was super-not-well-paced, basically from 0 to 100 in a span of 5 major events. I know it took away from the enjoyment of slow transformation... But I didn't want to spend another year polishing one of the side character's side routes.

I'm gonna add something to her club work and move on to Gloria.

Speaking of Gloria.

She's gonna get another place for her to be assigned to (at the office). I'm also gonna do her+Adam Walters content (you can send her to him now but nothing happens).

After that, I'm gonna finish her side mini-interactions with colleagues, her table event, her game-over scenarios, etc., and re-visit all her stats gain from events to make the 3d phase complete and smoother to play. Currently, if you leave her for a week or two, she'll have her events piled up with little to no interaction required, and I don't like that.

I'll aim to make v0.10 the last-before-the-final-leap patch. After that (v0.11+) - it's gonna be phase 4 for Gloria + various endings.

Overall, I expect v0.10 to be smaller and way easier to make than v0.9.

2. All goals reached, game dev and personal stuff

With this last patch released, I've gathered the absolute maximum support I could ever dream of when I started making this game. This has changed my life in several ways: no more stress over lack of money, not having to go to any regular work, confidence in being able to do "creative" work for a living. Can't thank you guys enough for making this happen! <3

...

It also fucked me up a little bit. Now when I don't have to go out and do anything outside (and literally earn my own food) I kinda lack the willpower to do so. It sucked sometimes to interact with the world at work but it also kept me more mentally fit. Some days I'm just sitting here, wondering if this is how things are gonna be till I die: make good money off an adult game and watch the world passing by. The "coom doom" never ends...

But anyway. I'm tired of all the incomplete adult games that drag their development for years, and the biggest motivation I have is pure HATE, lol. I'm gonna complete mine, that's for sure.

This is where I have two options:

become one of those "I'm making the patch, guys, I promise! (but it takes 6 months for 10 minutes of gameplay)"

or

announce a pause

My logical and selfish brain tells me to do the first one. Who in their sane mind would give up "free money" (that they worked for over a year to get to, and JUST reached a major goal) ?!

But my emotional state tells me to slow down and enjoy something that I currently find fun to do. Which is - video games. I wasn't enjoying them for a long time, and now finally the "wave" kicked in and I'm having a blast, honestly. It usually doesn't last long, so I'm riding it!

They say the balance of work and fun is the key. Not sure about that one. I can't keep my focus on two things simultaneously ⊙﹏⊙

The development of v0.10 is going to be in the "slow phase" for the next MONTH.

This means that I won't set my own deadlines and won't have dedicated time each and every day to do stuff for the game. If I'm feeling like doing a scene or two, writing an interaction or additional encounter - I'll do that. Development is not at full zero.

But if I'm not in the mood for a day, and just want to spend some time having useless fun with my friends - I'll do that instead.

So, for the people throwing money at me - consider pausing until further notice! There are a lot of creators who are less lazy than me right now (⌒▽⌒ゞ

3. Afterword

When a normal game dev starts earning more, he/she makes a team (or at least hires an additional scene maker) and ups the quality and quantity of content.

I honestly don't feel like expanding. I can't expect other people to work for me when I myself am being lazy. It's way less stressful this way, so I seriously doubt that AdventAnyx is going to become a team at some point. No amount of extra money will change that.

Still, I appreciate your continuous support and faith in me! It made the game continue being made for over a year now, and it will make it be finished one day. Just a slightly more distant day than I was aiming for when I started...

I'll post any progress as soon as I have something to post about.

Feel free to ask me any questions. And report any bugs, any time any platform!

See ya! Take care of yourselves.

Hello AdventAnyx! I would like to shout out with you :) What do you think about it?

Thanks <3

AdventAnyx

As a creator balancing your work and time to yourself is key. It also helps get those creative juices flowing and stops you from burning out. You do you dude. Games awesome and it’ll keep being awesome no matter if you take a break!

Awww, c'mon, lol

Can't rush perfection.

As someone who never had money to spare to support someone like you guys do, I didn't know about this mindset. So, thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the regular update post! Nice to see that game coming to its closure and you have a roadmap in mind. I'm currently "deep" in Esthers ehh butt route and enjoying it. Also that scene with Gloria and her first "customer", omg he nearly died rofl ^^ And the other thing you mentioned about the balance between work and freetime. Personally when I decide to become patreon of a dev, its because I want to show appreciation to the dev and I#m a fan of his work. I don't expect a release every month - its no a "I pay - now work dev° mentality like in a normal job. Hell I even forgot about that patreon status for months in the past, as there are other things in life. I think for this kind of work posting a regular status update from the dev is important (which you excel at!). Now if you decide to take a break(s) after that game it would be fine of course. That would not be a reason to cancel my support for you. Thats just my opinion though ;)
