Hello everyone,
the new boss Kerberus featured in The Gates of Hell update can be quite hard to battle.
Therefore, in case you are stuck at this battle, here is a small guide on how to beat Kerberus.
1st off, attached is an .mp4 video of a full battle in which Kerberus is defeated.
There are many ways to defeat Kerberus, but here are the main things you want focus on:
- Equip all your best items & use all your various elixirs.
- Have a good number of potions with you, you will have to face other enemies before you reach the boss and you want to be in good shape by the time you get there.
- Use your summon items, especially the water one is extremely powerful as it allows you to attack twice in a row by slowing down the enemy.
- Have your Fatigue low so you can use your Special Abilities to maximize damage output.
- Focus fire on 1 head at the time, when using single target skills and abilities, to take one out as fast as possible. But more importantly, you want to take out the Frost head first, and less importantly you can follow up by aiming at the Lighting one leaving the Fire one for last. Why is explained below by looking at how the various heads of Kerberus work.
The Frost head can breathe frost on one of your characters, the damage itself is not as high as the magic skill of the other 2 heads but, it will freeze your character which will not be able to attack for 1 turn.
The Lightning head can shoot a lightning bolt at one of your characters, it causes high damage and ignores armor. Additionally, and this is a brand new prototype feature we have added to the battle mechanics (combo moves), if the lighting bolt hits a frozen target this will result in a Critical Hit that will deliver a massive amount of damage capable of instantly killing your character.
The Fire head can breathe fire on one of your characters, it does a considerable amount of damage and it also applies burn, which basically will continue to deal some damage on the affected character for a few turns.
This should be enough to get you through the battle, good hunting ;)
