What I’ve been up to! (07.14.25)

Hi! I’ve been keeping busy but it hasn’t exactly lead to more shareable work for here, and I’m always thinking about keeping my Patreon active because I am always keeping up with art daily. Sometimes it’s just not exactly a drawing of what you guys may expect or want to see so I haven’t posted.

So returning to learning to coding and working on a 2D project where you control a sprite and move on a 3D field painted backgrounds was one idea I worked on for a bit, I learned a lot about coding and practiced drawing a walking cycle, but I realized for the backgrounds it would take me a very long time to paint enough backgrounds to keep up with a decent amount of gameplay while remaining interesting, so this lead me back down the 3D rabbit hole. I designed two main characters (one is very ruushi like!) to make lower poly 3D models of, and I’m nearly done with the first map (still un textured) but this 3D project has been going a lot better! Still, it’s a side project I have to do on spare time

With all that said it still all comes back to me wanting to be a great 2D illustrator most of all, so I started working on improving my ergonomics by replacing my work desk with a new standing desk (it has 5x the space!) so I’m really feeling like I’m able to do serious studying for 2D drawing.

All of my other side projects have been fun but they’re also distracting, I’m happy to be learning the skills but still there’s so much I want to do well with my main skill. Anyway I just wanted to share that with all of you because I always have my Patreon on the mind.

The next artwork set may include a pretty niche new character, as well as one I draw quite often, I’ll have those ready as soon as I get some fundies practice in!
