We've arrived in mainland Japan! We missed our target, we were supposed to head into Wakayama but the wind didn't permit. So, instead we pulled into Shimizu port further north. We hadn't planned on coming here at all, but now that we're here we're enjoying it.

The sailing community is amazing. Local sailors have adopted us and are making sure we're happy and comfortable. In truth, it's been kind of overwhelming! Japanese omotenashi is very intense, we're not used to that kind of attention.

Our plan is to wait here for parts and to fix Pino before we head south, our plan is still to go to Wakayama!

More fun times ahead!
