I redesigned Axyl! Some of you might remember this character from last years character design tutorial, or even from way back at the start of my Patreon when I abandoned an illustration of her. WELL, I finally got around to giving her design another rework, and this time I have a lot more ideas and motivation to actually make this project what I want it to be. If you're confused there's not much you've missed out on - I basically briefly worked on a personal project last year that I just sort of forgot about in the midst of everything else.
I think I jumped the shark a bit when I first concepted it, but through working with our team at Vela I've learned so much about both character design and world building/stories, that I finally feel like I can continue with confidence! So this will start out as a series of illustrations and character designs, with little or no text to accompany it. It'll essentially be a vessel for me to develop a style+world and create characters that don't have to conform to wide appeal or engine limitations. As of right now it's just codenamed "Project A", but I'll continue developing it and will hopefully have more art and characters to share soon! :)
