Learning to draw with my left hand
Added 2019-02-10 23:38:39 +0000 UTCApologies for the silence! I've not really felt like I have anything of value to post here as I've just been resting and not producing much. My arm is starting to feel a lot better, but unfortunately it's still a bit too early to go back to work. I was hoping to be back this week but oh well. These things take time and that must be respected.
In the meantime, largely thanks to Murashi in the Discord server, I have started to train my left hand for drawing! It started out as a joke but being able to create something, even if it's wobbly trash, feels really good. I'm now on day 6 of doing this and already seeing improvements - once a bit more time passes I'll post a progression image with all my sketches, but if you're in the discord you can see the day-to-day (and join in yourself) in the non-dominant-hand-challenge channel. I don't think I'll ever reach quite the same level as my dominant hand, but this'll be a nice backup to have if my wrist starts acting up again :>
This is a WIP of my first digital piece with my left hand, started today. It's messy and I feel like I have no control over my hand on my tablet, but using colours and painting again is a huge relief.
