WIP: comic update
Added 2017-12-01 21:19:12 +0000 UTCI was going to put this in the previous announcement post, but it was big enough that I figured I'd give it its own space.
I did a bit of redrawing on this page (still have the rest of it to tend to). She is meant to be something of a pretty girl character, so I tried to reflect that more with this redraw. She's currently using a combination of elements from ideas I've tried in the past, and I think I like it. I also changed the eyes a bit; since I don't have access to any colors, I decided to use more black areas for that kind of detail. We'll see how she looks in the other pages when I draw them!
I made space for those text boxes in the storyboard, but because I didn't write down which text I'd intended to put in them, I'll have to re-read my script and figure that out. (So: include dialogue notes in your storyboards!)
There's more of those dense, black areas, too. It's fun experimenting to see which shapes look the best when working in monochrome. I also tried out a bit of an outline on the character in the top panel to see if I like how that looks.
