BANDIT REVOLVER Episode 3.14
Added 2021-08-06 19:30:59 +0000 UTCHey, lovelies! I managed to finish another page of Bandit Revolver. Prompto is once again at it with his Photography, and like his initial appearance at the end of Episode 1, he's focusing on East Insomnia!
And just like Episode 1, he's petting another dog ^_^
The background dialogue is something I wanted to try out for crowd scenes when the main characters aren't engaging each other. In FFXV, you can sometimes listen in on NPCs talking, and in the Yakuza games there's constantly background chatter dialogues popping up at random. The idea is to add another layer of life to Insomnia.

On a serious note, I wanted to let you guys know I appreciate your patience as I get these pages done. They're not easy to work on, and I'm not able to get them finished very quickly. This has been frustrating for me lately, as I feel that due to the size of the comic--I've well over 500 drafted pages as of this writing--I should be able to get more pages done faster.
However, as that's not the case, this comic will take me years to finish...and I feel so flustered. I know in the current internet/social media hellscape, a slow pace is seen as a bad thing, especially to the algorithm. I know better than to fall into that trap, but it still sits at the back of my mind as I worry folks will lose interest in this comic because I'm too slow.
And they will. It's just something that happens over time, but I have to understand that it's not my fault. Interests change. I have to understand it's not my fault. I also have to realise that so long as I keep putting this comic out, folks may pick it up years from now. Hell, maybe the folks who quit reading will come back to it years later.
Anyway, my point is, I've been frustrated and disappointed in myself for working so slowly on this. But at the same time, I won't give up on this story. I want to see it finished. Ideally by the tenth anniversary of FFXV.

I love this comic! I see how much love, work and effort goes into each part and I admire you for using traditional rendering! This is so much better than digitally mass produced stuff and I will be here until the very end π

The social media hellscape is indeed a hellscape and I hate that it makes you feel like you are going slower than you should. Your work is gorgeous and inventive and heartfelt and all that takes time! And this page is indicative of everything I love about your work. The little background details, as usual. Prompto's outfit, his expression in each panel is unique and conveys what he's feeling! The NPC chatter is such a cool detail. Insomnia feels like a real city! And of course, good girl Pryna is so cute! I'm loving that they already know each other. <3
