When Caleb says his magic was taken from him, he means years of his life and arcane skill as well as his agency. After killing his family, Caleb's mind was shattered and he was left to rot in a sanitarium where he effectively atrophied back to "level 1." This was mentioned in passing in episode 5, but was easy to miss.

Ashley Johnson was unavailable during much of the beginning of C2 while she was filming the TV series Blindspot. In the campaign, Molly and Yasha met and formed a friendship when Mollymauk joined the traveling circus. Her introduction to the group in this last episode is one of the big changes between the show and the game. Another of the big changes is showing everything that happened on the Kryn side of things with Essek, his mother, the Bright Queen, etc. None of that was shown during the game since none of the PCs were involved with those events.
