I disagree that we're supposed to like Caleb, especially after learning what he did to his family. Liam O'Brien set out to make a character hit rock bottom and be irredeemably in his eyes, let's see where he goes from there.

2026-01-26 23:31:22 +0000 UTCKeeping with my theme of calling out the fun cast, the Gentleman (who’s a Water Genasi, that’s why he’s always wet, if you’re wondering) is voiced by Nathan Fillion himself, while Nydas (the pirate character, he’s actually another PC from a critical role mini-campaign called EXU: Calamity that’s set a thousand years before this) is voiced by Lou Wilson, who also played the character at the table for Calamity. This part of the campaign was a more generic pirate thing at the table, so the fact that they wrote Nydas in here coupled with the appearance of Zerxus (the Devil who played a memorable game of cards with Pike in Vox Machina when they went to Hell, he’s another PC from Calamity) in Vox Machina seems to be strongly hinting at them building towards doing an animated miniseries or movie of the Calamity campaign. Very exciting 😅
