You’re really making me wonder if Bariss and Ahsoka are going to cross paths again. The parallels are very telling… I would expect so. As vehemently as I was all “Nope, Tech is dead,” in Bad Batch, I’m as much “Bariss survived.” I don’t think they bring her back in the same vein if it’s only to show her end. What would be the point? They don’t do deaths based on what a character deserves, but she kinda has earned Lyn’s willingness to help. As you say, her wound is survivable. I also think characters attempting to save lives in the SW universe are treated with mercy, unless there’s some reason that tragedy is useful to the story. So I do think this is post Obi-Wan. And I’m curious as to what’s next for Lyn and Bariss. With Qui-gon, I’ve heard people muse that the technology wasn’t as good in his era either as another reason he might not be saved, even if they could rush him to treatment.
