I hate to say, but I’m one of those that knew in my heart Tech was gone as soon as he fell. His sacrifice is a real sacrifice. He doesn’t get to magically survive just because we like him. And now that I know how young the show could be aimed for, I would guess they were avoiding showing bodies of characters we love. Too traumatic. They avoided giving Omega a scary weapon for a while and blue donuted a loooot of characters. Was there a significant good guy death that had a body just lying there? And I can’t imagine Tech surviving that whole time and the Batch not even looking for him. I think they’re too observant. But just thematically? They were in huge trouble. Tech picked them. It had a real consequence. It’s sad. Some characters die too soon.

2024-05-03 20:55:43 +0000 UTCDouble Tech death is even more gut punchy than what I assumed- I fully expected a Rogue One. I didn’t realize it was rated for so young though. That’s too young for everyone gone. Then I would have expected Echo, maybe 1 more. I’m still surprised that many survived. I was braced for Wrecker shockingly failing for part of it. Nala Se is a Tala, sorta. She believes the Kaminoans had it right for a long time and sees where it went wrong. She knows the Empire’s seriously bad. She sees what she did to contribute to it, so as a practical scientist, she’s taking it all out. The gassing of the Clones was so dark. And Hemlock really is like a Nazi Doctor. Oof.
