Interesting to see the bonus series for the first time as I haven't played any in all my years playing the game, and I definitely agree, wasn't as great an ending to Alderaan as the planetary story arcs. Just to give some extra info though that I think is useful, only companions that are already present on your team when you first go to a planet can gain influence from dialogue. Just in case you didn't know :) (Also, the lore nerd in me is feeling uneasy seeing a canonically medic Elara being used as a tank instead of a healer haha)
