Patreon has decided not to charge the fees.

Holy shit, a major web company actually giving into the demands of their creators? Instead of just handing down vague decrees from on high? This is nuts, I think I need to sit down to process this.

Glad patreon reversed its horrendous decision . The Drunken Peasants podcast is not just entertainment for me , its therapeutic . I love this podcast and i will gladly continue to keep my pledge going

I'm happy Patreon exists, and gives content creators an opportunity to not be beholden to advertisers. I'm also glad they listened to their community, and made the right decision. I ALSO hope they never do anything that fucking retarded ever again.

Ben I’d like to apologise for my comment on the last post about Patreon (now deleted). Was in a bad place that day and was taking it out on everyone I could. I understand now your intentions were not to guilt trip us but I still think that the message could have been more about the alternatives such as makersupport. Almost all of the youtubers I follow have said they’re creating an account on there or an alternative site other than Patreon for people who don’t support it and I was surprised you didn’t. Either way I was out of order before and I’m sorry Ben. So much respect for you guys.

I don't know, man, quite a lot of people contribute small pledges, and often to multiple creators as well. I'm quite sure the majority of income of creators comes from those pledges, and if you're someone who donates to many creators those fees can stack up real quick.
