I think Crosshair did it so that Cody wouldn’t get into trouble with Rampart. Sort of in the same light that he gave his brothers a chance to join him with the Empire. They may have their differences, but Crosshair still cares about his family and friends.

2023-01-12 05:44:03 +0000 UTCI agree with Bendu in that Crosshair is a sociopath - remember in S1E8 ordering his squad to "aim for the kid"!!!??? 😲 I think his concern at the end was mostly at the realization that at this rate, he is going to probably end up being the last clone trooper working for the empire. If there is going to be a redemption for him, it will not happen until the end of the series. Else, I believe Hunter will end up having to kill his own brother.

And after the statement how “loyalty is not important to clones nowadays.” Definitely made him pause and wonder if he is wrong for a second but he quickly dismissed it. I think before that conversation he was just following orders.
