Thing is, Twitch streams aren't archived bc people take dude out of context and create their own clips channels so if you want to immediately sit down and watch the streams live as they happen yeah i guess that's a free option. But like, me and most people are busy and would prefer to just watch them at our leisure. The convenience is worth 5 bucks honestly

something to point out when you were discussing tom knox skating the stairs over those blind bumps is that in most cities in the UK and Ireland all modern architecture requires those blind bumps be put in before and after stairs and they are virtually impossible to skate through and due to this a lot of old perfect spots are now made unskatable which is frustrating obviously so it almost becomes inspiring to see someone actually use the "obstacle" (in the literal sense) to elevate the difficulty of a trick and to find a way to still skate despite this encroaching burden on uk and irish skating. tom just doesnt skate enough unique, crusty never before seen spots anymore which is disappointing and i think leads to his newer footage feeling less fresh

I think that the whole point of Tom Knox is that his style of skating is supposed to unlock spots that most people can’t skate. But I don’t think unlocked enough of those unique spots this year compared to his original Atlantic drift part.

Was hate-thinking about Nakel and how fucking god awful his music is this morning, and it seems so brazen of him and other skaters like him to simply assume that because they're good at skating they can jump into other art forms like music and automatically be talented. It's like the work that went into becoming pro level at their main skill has become completely lost to them and they assume because they're good at skating whatever else they fart out is a worthy work. The only reason Nak can sell shows at all, or perform at flog gnaw (ridiculous), is because he's like Earl's braindead lil bro and he gets put on lineups with him, MIKE, zelooperz, etc. Is there a way to ego-check these fools or is it simply the nature of the beast and the fact that networking is 100% more important than anything else in every industry?

What if Street League changed their scoring system to each trick + combination of tricks having a set amount of points? Like how in Skate 3 a kickflip is 100 pts, making it a backside flip adds a certain amount, etc. This would be more restricting than the "just vibes" system that currently exists, and take away a lot of their individuality, but I think it would be interesting to see what skaters could do within that context.

In my opinion Pedro should not win Skater of the year with that one and that only part. It was a fine part but the hype before it was way too much. If you would do a separate review you could include a 50:50 counter in Pedro‘s part like you did for Jack O‘Grady as well. He’s obviously cooler than Rob Pace but I don’t think the overall skating was even better than Rob‘s?
