2023-06-21 19:36:01 +0000 UTCSomething closer to what Logan used in the 917 videos would work well; Duster, Pavement, etc. More in that vein of Indie with washed out, gauzy guitars, etc. However, if it were my choice, I use songs like Slapp Happy "Just a Conversation", Chris Spedding "Video Life", The Walker Brothers “Nite Flights”, Godley & Creme "I Pity Inanimate Objects" or "Group Life", Carol "So Low", Robert Rental "Double Heart", Operating Theater "Spring Is Coming With a Strawberry in Its Mouth", Social Climbers "Palm Springs", Chris & Cosey "Morning", etc. There's so much amazing music out there that hasn't been in skate videos and only people like Ben Chadourne and whoever does the Pass~Port videos have explored the kind of stuff I'm really into.

My inspiration is Jake Wooten - everytime I see him skate I wonder if he could've been the better Oski/next GT if he'd been born to Swedish urbanite parents instead of Southern redneck drug addicts. Big fan of the team, skating and visual aesthetic, but the music distracts and detract for me more often than not.

But rest assured, these clips are impressive given how crunch bar texture most of the ground here is. They were here about a week and a half and it rained a few days so it was impressive that they got what they did.

2023-06-10 07:09:59 +0000 UTChi joa, ive studied editing for almost a decade specifically i did a few papers on skate video editing and stuff like that, not super relevent now that i think about it but what else are degrees for, something ive noticed that you might have missed about bennys editing style is he seems to do allot of his zooming and moving around in post, but not the 'Final' post. post meaning post filming but Pre re-filming on the crt (my theory). the fact that he films via CRT means that when he zooms and moves around inside the frame he doesnt lose any of the pixels becuase theyre coming out the same through the screen, when you put it through the tv after zooming in whatever software he uses. so he is able to do all the fun stuff without it looking like hes doing it and it gives him more freedom where other editors arent able to get it for loss of quality concidering theyre mostly working with 720p with no extra steps. chase does a similar thing with his music that i think is a big reason why you like both of their videos, or at least it is a big reason why i appreciate their work allot, anyway i could be wrong but yeah youll see it in the ashphalt bit too, anyway back to the video, kisses,

Yeah it’s corny but it felt like it was an ode to Jackie being a new rider. Jackie has old clips on instragram playing snare. Carti leak was fantastic. Yes Carti is played out especially with WLR, but mans has many great leaks and I will always cherish old house parties where we played old Carti songs like Beef and raged. This vid struck a chord for me obviously. I think the “to many smiles” comment was a bit harsh. Nelly giving Cyrus basic ass pillsbury cookies was wholesome. Lol
