Suggestion: Video game shame. Here me out, I know it's heavy but I think it's better off as a 10 minute discussion. Do either of you or have you ever dealt with shame around playing video games? I really struggle to reconcile my feelings that I'm "wasting my time" sometimes - that the 1000s hours I've spent playing games, if applied to a more conventionally useful skill, would have made me an expert by now... but I still loves games. I guess 10 mins musing on this and how you deal with it would be cool to hear.

2024-09-29 22:37:35 +0000 UTCCan I suggest a topic for future conversation? Why must the final boss in most games be orders of magnitude harder, if not impossible. Can’t we just have a gentle difficulty gradient that lets normal people actually finish the odd game? Not that I am bitter in any way…
