Resident Evil 4 Remake: New Game+ with Brendon!
Added 2023-04-01 23:09:12 +0000 UTCHello! This is Brendon! Resident Evil 4's remake has absolutely swallowed me whole since its release — I really can't put the game down. As such, I started a New Game+ run almost immediately after finishing the game for the first time and recording our episode about it. And wouldn't you know it? I recorded the whole thing too.
Please enjoy this very long Patron-only YouTube video in which I try to beat the game as quickly as I can armed only with the knowledge of my first run to guide me. I was kind of amazed at how much I remembered??
That said because this is speedrun-adjacent, I do skip all of the cutscenes in the process to save time... I only learned afterwards that the cutscenes don't count towards your total playtime. Whoops!
Either way, this was an extremely fun time and I'm stoked to share it with you. Enjoy!

2023-04-03 21:25:33 +0000 UTCI think the fact that the game becomes more arcade/score chase like is incredible and is one of the key elements that allows for replay-ability. I don't know how RE4 can have both survival horror and Capcom arcade fun at the same time. If feels like it shouldn't work but it does! 😆
