A New Challenge? - Update

The new semester starts at the end of October. which means I have about a month of free time to work. Recently, I heard about NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and decided to pose a challenge for myself. I want to write 40,000 words in October.
I do not plan to write only one story. I am more interested in finishing Alene Raven's fourth year, a new Kim Possible commission I took and maybe another short story.
Wish me luck with my own NaNoWriMo, it will probably mean much more new stories for you to read next month. If you have any tips feel more than welcomed to post them here.
On another subject, I am considering the option to create a website of my own or a mailing list. The last time I ran a contest, Patreon intervened and forced me to change the rules. I think that on a site/milling list of my own I can have much more freedom and control. The question is what do you think? I would really appreciate it if you could take a moment to vote in the poll
