PURE ONYX - August 31, 2023 Test Release

Hey guys!!

Here's the August monthly Pure Onyx release!

This one has a lot of changes!  Also, expect a patched release as early as tomorrow to fix a few loose ends from the physics update (see the new known issues).

To start off for H content, we've replaced the under construction intro segments for both the Thug and the Thug + Runt scenes for Onyx.  We've also added the titjob animations back into the Thug + Runt scene.  We still have to finish the transition between titjob and BJ, but that should be in next month.  We've added an early version of the first Onyx + Semi (muscle girl) scenes to the gallery! And lastly we've added SFX for all the Onyx + Bunnies H scenes, and have further improved the animations for the diIdo scene.

The artwork for the Spider Cavern has been totally revamped.  Reflections have been added, and I'm in the process of integrating the water system to add slime FX/SFX to the ground.  We're also working on adding parallax to the background.

Most importantly, this release includes the most recent physics overhaul, which has been in the works for the past couple of months.  It's really the second part of a larger overhaul that began in June I think when we revamped environment collisions.  This overhaul improves upon and fixes regressions with character collisions (and behind the scenes sets things up for some major future combat improvements).  There are a still a few known issues, but please let us know if you run into anything.

We've also added a bunch of performance options for shadows and lighting, as well as visual fixes for camera/actor shakes and dynamic physics for anyone who runs the game at < or > 60 FPS.  Expect more options in the future, as well as new ones for improving the current graphics quality.

Console Commands

The game isn't balanced that great yet, so some people have asked if there are ways to bypass bosses or get some help.  You can use console commands for this while the game is still rough around the edges. Press the  ` (backtick/tilde) key to open the console.  Type any of the commands below and press enter.  Press ` again to close the console.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Currently only Windows 7/8/10/11 are supported. We plan on adding additional platforms if there is a demand. 8 GB of RAM and at least a 2GB graphics card are heavily recommended. If you get poor performance please let us know and post your system specs (or send to eromancergames@gmail.com ); we’re still in the early stages of gauging system requirements.

Currently Supported Controllers: Xbox 360, Xbox One, Dual Shock 4.  PS5 DualSense

**Note** The popular community made DS4 Windows drivers cause Unity to recognize a DualShock controller as an Xbox gamepad, and we can't tell them apart in code. This means that you'll be gifted with the untold joy of having your controller mapped by default with the wrong controls. You can fix it by rebinding the PS4 controller map, or removing the DS4 Windows drivers. (The latter is HARD, a simple uninstall isn't going to be enough)

Currently it's only available in the gallery. You can unlock it from random drops or by purchasing the scene from Mr. Black in the Slums

How can I see Onyx×Semi scene?

I use I3 9100f and GTX 1660super. But my fps is very low. That causes lag when playing.

Meant to respond :D -- we've added the suggestion about the consumables ^-^ it should be in next release.

That provisional Onyx×Semi scene is already a work of art. It's great. By the way, there's something I think would be a great Quality of Life improvement and sounds like it wouldn't be difficult to implement. Currently, auto-sorting your items makes unused First Aid Kits appear higher on the list than used ones. However when using First Aid Kits, one would usually prefer to use up the partially used ones before moving on to a new one, in order to optimise inventory space. I think it'd be useful if partially used First Aid Kits appeared higher on the list than unused ones. Not trying to intrude on your game design philosophy, of course. But I think it'd be nicer that way.

Possibly a stupid question but how do I carry over a save from a previous version or is this not possible?
