We've updated the download links in the November 30 release post with a second patched release! This one fixes another critical issue with the new loading system that was specifically affecting some systems running the game from HDD (as opposed to SSD). This issue would cause those users to experience 3-4x longer startup time.
A special thanks to patron Mistah Eff for bringing this to our attention and helping us test AltairPL's fixes pretty much all afternoon!
This patched release carries some added bonuses too -- check the full changelog below!
Changelog
- Fixed critical issue causing first startup on some systems to be incredibly slow.
- Replaced a visual issue fix on character meshes causing performance drop with one that doesn't.
- Reduced game size on disk (by 70% unzipped!) and in memory.
- Some Alt + Num characters no longer work in filepaths for game folder location.
- Enemies will now play turning animation to face target after an attack / action instead of insta-flipping (WIP).
- Fixed a number of issues with enemy turning during AI navigation.
- Enemy AI navigation should no longer improperly cancel turn animations that are in progress.
