Considering what just happened between us, saying it out loud made my brain short-circuit.
Lilieth blinked.
Then, her lips curled into an amused smirk, and she tilted her head. "Oh?"
I suddenly felt very vulnerable.
She leaned in, her crimson eyes locked onto mine, full of pure mischief. "That’s a rather interesting thing to say after everything we just did."
I winced. ‘I KNEW I!’
I knew she wouldn’t let me get away with saying something so damn awkward.
She rested her chin on my chest, her tail lazily flicking behind her. "So, does this mean you regret it?"
I groaned, covering my face with my hands. "Can you just... not do this right now?"
She laughed.
Of course, she laughed.
"Darling," she purred, deliberately dragging a finger down my stomach, making me shiver, "you do realize that the way you said it makes things even more interesting, right?"
I peeked at her from between my fingers, scowling. "I said it to make things less interesting, not the opposite."
She grinned. "Oh, but now I’m even more entertained."
‘Damn it!’
I sat up, trying to put some distance between us. "Look, I just meant that you're my mother in a technical sense, and maybe we should—"
"Should what?" She batted her eyelashes.
I hesitated. "...Act like it?"
Lilieth snorted. Like, full-on snorted.
"You’re adorable," she said, patting my cheek like I was a child. "But I'm going to stop you right there."
I gritted my teeth. "Please do."
She smirked. "Darling, if you really wanted to enforce some strict mother-son dynamic like human nature, you wouldn't have called me Mommy just five minutes ago. When your dick in my mouth."
I CHOKED.
"Can you not bring that up?! We are in human world."
She grinned wider. "Oh? So now you're embarrassed?"
I wanted to die.
Lilieth sat back, crossing her legs like she was completely in control, which she was. "Besides," she continued, tapping her lips thoughtfully, "isn't it more fun when things are a little... unconventional?"
I squinted at her. "You mean chaotic."
She wiggled her eyebrows. "Potato, potahto."
I sighed. "So, what? You're just going to act like none of this is weird?"
She shrugged. "I'm a demon, Ethan. I thrive in chaos."
I knew it. I knew there was no winning against her.
Still, I wasn’t about to just accept this without at least some resistance.
Lilieth had been messing with me all morning. Teasing, poking, smirking like she was the queen of the universe. And yeah, I had lost every round so far. But this? This was my chance.
She thought she had all the control. Thought I’d just roll over and let her keep messing with me.
She was wrong.
I inhaled slowly, composing myself. My body still felt wrecked, but my mind? Oh, my mind was ready for revenge.
I turned to her, schooling my expression into something soft, something a little unsure. A little hesitant.
“Mom,” I said, my voice just the right amount of gentle.
She paused.
Oh?
Her eyes flicked to me, and I saw the way her smirk faltered. Just slightly.
Bingo.
I hesitated, glancing away as if I was too shy to keep eye contact. Then, I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck. “You know…” My voice dipped, just a little husky. “I don’t mind when you tease me, but…”
I trailed off.
She blinked. Her tail, usually playfully flicking, went still.
Hook. Line. Sinker.
I let my shoulders slump, looking a little lost, like I was really thinking about something deep. Then, I lifted my gaze and locked onto hers with the most earnest, needy look I could muster.
“…It’d be nice if you could pamper me a little more instead.”
Lilieth’s smirk completely vanished.
I watched her pupils shrink just slightly.
Gotcha.
I didn’t stop. No. If I was going in, I was going all in.
I leaned in closer, lowering my voice. “I mean… isn’t that what a good boy deserves?”
I swore she visibly gulped.
Oh, this was gold.
Her tail flicked, her fingers twitching slightly against the sheets. “Ethan.”
I tilted my head, eyes full of pure innocence. “Yes, Mom?”
She tensed.
I reached up, casually tracing a finger down her arm, soft, slow, watching her carefully. “You always take such good care of me, don’t you?” I murmured.
She froze.
Her ears turned red.
Her actual ears.
I bit back a grin.
Time for the final blow.
I leaned in, so close that my breath brushed against her cheek. “Mom…” I whispered. “Won’t you spoil your good boy just a little more?”
She snapped.
Her tail jerked violently, her entire body stiffening like I’d just electrocuted her.
“I—” She cleared her throat. “You—”
Oh, she was struggling.
Lilieth was at a complete loss.
This. This was everything.
I smiled—innocently, sweetly, like I wasn’t absolutely destroying her.
Lilieth had finally tasted defeat. And she hated it.
Her tail flicked violently, her arms crossed tight, and for the first time in my entire existence, she was the one flustered.
I could feel it—the tiny shift in energy, the way her gaze flickered slightly, like she was debating whether to run or fight back.
Too late.
I was already moving in.
I sighed dramatically, stretching a little as I sat up. "C'mon, spoil me," I said, voice light, sweet, playful.
Her crimson eyes narrowed immediately. "Ethan," she warned, but I pretended not to hear.
I shifted closer, putting on my best innocent face. Wide eyes. A little pout. Shoulders slightly hunched, like I was just a helpless, needy little thing.
But my grin?
Oh, my grin said something else entirely.
She tensed, watching me carefully. "What’s the matter with you?" she muttered, eyes narrowing. "You look different."
I blinked up at her, tilting my head. "Different how?"
Her tail flicked again, a sure sign she was on edge. "Is this your revenge?"
I gasped, dramatic as hell. "Mom, how could you say that?"
She squinted.
I kept my angelic expression intact.
