I'M SO CONFUSED | HELP!

Yo...I have no idea what's going on.  I need someone to explain this to me like I'm 5 lol ..DS 😈 SEASON 2.  DO I WATCH THE EPISODES OR THE MOVIE?  What happened to the good old days when you just watch episodes of a show like a normal human lol

WHY IS FIGURING OUT HOW TO WATCH SEASON 2 SO DAMN DIFFICULT?!  lol please help.  How do I watch Season 2?  Step by Step guide, please.

Comments

Is S2 and the movie only exclusive for upgrade patron member?

In short I recommend: Season 1 > Movie > Episode 1 of Mugen train Arc > Entertainment district Arc.

AussieDesoDogg

This is really subjective, and you will get all kinds of opinions. You can either watch Episode 1 + Movie. Or All Mugan train Episodes and skip movie. Also you can watch movie before Episode 1 in release order, or Episode 1 before the rest in chronological order. My personal recommendation is just watch the movie first, then Episode 1 of Mugan Train arc, how most people watched it as it came out.

AussieDesoDogg

watch the first episode of the mugen train arc(episode 27) as its content that wasn't in the movie but then watch the movie instead of the series adaption(ep 28-33) then start the red light distract arc(ep34-44)

AnimeSoulful

he already reacted to all demon slayer openings on last anime stream. he even added reactions on patreon

Normadus

first 8 episodes of season 2 is the movie with more scenes.

Tuấn Shiro

Just watch the episodes and ignor the movie. The first 8 ep are the movie.

Jerome

I would say just watch the episodes. As everybody else is saying, the Demon Slayer movie was recreated to be episodes 2-7 of season 2. It would also probably be easier with copyrights to react to the episodes instead of the movie

Deiondre0

After season 1 you can watch the movie or the mugen train arc then then entertainment district after. The mugen train arc vs movie are more or less the same though the arc has a little extra content but it is filled anyway. But also reacting in episodes will probably be better for you 🙂

Luke harmis

I think you can just watch it on how it was released. Season 1 > Mugen Train > Season 2

waku waku

Movie first then season 2

Juan Villaverde

thats kinda naïve

inno#2732

I recommend Season 1 -> season 2 mugen train arc episode 1 (its a special ep that the movie doesn't show) -> mugen train movie-> season 2 entertainment district. It shows them as such on crunchyroll, but they did make it mad confusing lol

Trey

the movie has really good animation, isane fight with rengoku, if it’d give you insight into the second season. but i’m pretty sure the order is season 1-movie-season 2

Reece

From what I understand, season 2 completely covers the movie, so there's no point in watching it

Agent X

I guess it depends on you? Would you like the experience of sitting (and reacting!) for almost 2 hours to an awesome movie? Or would you prefer to do it episode by episode? Basically, the content is the same, except with a few added minutes here and there in the episodes, plus the first episode of season 2, which takes place just before the events of the film, and it doesn't appear in the movie. I feel like it's up to you to decide which experience you prefer. I think you'll love it either way!

María

First episode is filler (non essential made up side story), so you can just watch the movie straight after S1 and after the movie start watching S2 with episode 8. That's how it is in manga and this way it won't feel slow paced and too long.

Andriy Zarytskyy

I would go with the episodes because the movie doesn't have the special episode

PlasmaPanther

The movie is the same as the episodes with a few changes so just watch the episodes. It’s the same quality too

TheXtreme15

i reccomend you to watch the movie later (its so good though), because they put the movie into some episodes (it's not season two) with extra stuff.

Gabriel Xavier

ignore the movie completely, the first half of season 2 is the movie but with more stuff

ʀesoиaтoʀ

Wait…if he watches the movie instead of the episodes does that mean he’ll miss LISA’s opening song in the mugen train arc? 🥲

Erlacine

does it really matter ? he is going to watch movie and season 2 either way so he can just watch season 2 from the 1 ep to the last one. The only difference is that we will get movie in one link instead of 7 and movie doesnt have cliffhangers

Normadus

Also I forgot to add that the 7 episode mugen train arc is only the first part of season 2. Once you finish that, then you type in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc which has 11 episodes. Put those two Arcs together makes the whole of season 2 which is 18 episodes in all.

Erlacine

I watched season two mugen train arc episodes instead of the movie. If it’s the season, it has 7 episodes. Where I watched it was 9anime.to Typed in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc and the 7 episodes will comes up

Erlacine

You can do either, nothing’s any different between the two, but I personally recommend the episodes since pretty much the second half of season two are only episodes, not part of the movie

Richard Wheeler

Just because everybody and their mother are commenting, I'll do so as well. I only started watching the show a few months ago, and how I did it was also on Cruncyroll, S1 - Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba then S2 - Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc which as far as I know is just episode 1 is new and then 2 - 7 are the movie so you can watch episode 1 first and then the movie, then it is S2 - Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc

Cory

Watch this episode of 'Season 2' https://beta.crunchyroll.com/watch/G2XU057GN/flame-hashira-kyojuro-rengoku followed by the movie! https://beta.crunchyroll.com/watch/GD9UV2M2V/demon-slayer--kimetsu-no-yaiba--the-movie-mugen-train followed by Season 2 episode 1=> https://beta.crunchyroll.com/watch/GJWU2XQDD/sound-hashira-tengen-uzui

Meow_Lin

As far as reaction videos go, you're better off just watching the show. If you plan on rewatching stuff, then you'll be better off watching the movie since it's all the material from Ep 2-7 of Season 2 without all the recap stuff that you get at the beginning of episodes.

FTN Chicken

Ep1, movie, skip 2-7, continue from 8 to end.

Gauge

Movie comes first and then season 2

Vortwee

I just watched the movie and skipped the episodes, heard that's better anyway xD

Linda

He is literally asking us to tell him what to do 🤣

Jonathan Speziale

This ^^^

Jonathan Speziale

Season 2 is divided in 2 arcs: Mugen Train and Entertainment District. Mugen Train arc is 7 episodes, however, those episodes (apart from episode 1) are just cut parts from the movie "Mugen Train", so if you want to watch the whole movie, you'll be watching episodes 2-7 of Mugen Train arc. After that, is Entertainment District arc, with 11 episodes that you watch normally as you do

Pablo Piovesan

If you want to watch the episodes, you can. It goes over the same story as the Mugen Train movie, its just the movie has absolutely goated animation. You just need to watch Mugen Train before the Entertainment District Arc.

Jonathan Speziale

Stooop 😂😂

KatyRose

Just watch the first episode of Season 2 then you can watch the movie then skip to episode 8 of S2

Gabriel

this is the correct answer!! Joey do this

Frosstbyte

I am suggesting you watch in this order. All names are the same as Chunchyroll, so you won’t be confused: Finish S1 Demon Slayer (26 episodes all together) Watch the EP1 of S2 Mugen Train Arc. After that either watch the Remaining Eps of S2 Mugen Train Arc or The movie “Mugen Train”. (I suggest watch the movie) Watch S2 Entertainment District Arc

Bluebell

Watch the movie then watch s2 (the entertainment district arc)

Matthew Diehl

I'd say watch the first 30 min of the movie, then the first 4 episodes of season 2. Then you need to watch the last 5 minutes of the movie, then double back to episode 2 only of season 2, then watch episode 10 next, then the rest of the season you haven't seen, then the rest of the movie you haven't seen. Actually maybe reverse that order. Sorry, just trying to summary the comment suggestions you got so far.

Arimpact

Hopefully this helps. ^_^

Shahrukh

If you have the time to, the fuller experience would be to enjoy the movie first! And to follow up with season2 right after.

berrey

Just watch the movie first before starting season 2. That makes it easier

mary

Ultimately up to you! The order it’s meant to be watched in is Season1 > The Movie (it continues right where the season ended). Season2 does repeat the main points of the movie (mostly for those who were unable to watch it), but with other scenes included.

berrey

Watch the movie!

mary

I'd like if you watch the movie then season 2. Though season 2 has the same content the movie just hit harder to me. And you can always skip redundant episodes.

ORORA06

They released a movie which is canon to the show... after few months they released an episode which is prequel to the movie - this became S02E01 then they cut the movie into 6 episodes and released them in order again... - That's S02E2-7 S02E8 onwards is the actual season 2

c01d_h4nds

I personally think the best way to watch it is, You shoud watch the 1st episode of season 2 then watch the movie. You can then start back up from season 2 episode 8 since it starts a new arc.

Shahrukh

The movie is just a condensed version of the season 2 mugen train arc. so reaction wise it’d make more sense to watch the episodes instead of the movie. So it goes season 1, then mugen train arc, then entertainment district arc in that order.

Luke

I'd suggest watching the first episode of S2 (which was not included in the movie), watching the movie, then skipping to episode 8 of S2. Episodes 2-7 are a recut of the movie. They add and rearrange a few scenes here and there, but nothing of consequence changes. However, the episodes cut out the whole opening scene of the movie.

Gestrid

I recommend the movie. No point of watching it all episode by episode when it’s the same thing.

Sulaiman Ahmad

lmfao.. Joey asked for clarification and ppl are just adding to the confusion... STOP telling him what to do and just give him the facts and let him decide 😂

c01d_h4nds

Lmao usually in my experience with anime, movies aren’t canon so they didn’t affect main story line. However, this movie is canon to the show. After season 1 finished, they released this movie as a continuation of the story. Then they also split the movie into episodes for the first half of season 2 lol. So basically movie = first half of season 2, doesn’t matter in terms of story which you watch with one exception: ep 1 is not in the movie, it does provide more content for certain characters, tho not really important imo. In terms of viewing experience, I found the movie to be much more enjoyable

Juan Mariscal

Basically, they released a movie that covers the mugen train arc. Later they released a "Season 2" which ALSO covers the same mugen train arc with some more details. Imo the movie is better since, for me Season 2 feels a bit too slow paced. But both, watching the movie or the Season 2 is right

Deymio

It doesn't, though. Only episode 1 is new.

Kaito Guest

I would say go for just watching season 2, it is basically the movie with some extra scenes here and there. But, for our enjoyment you watching the movie would mean getting faster to second half of seasons 2 faster😁

Einar Engen

The movie comes first!! Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train. And then after the movie you can watch season 2 as you normally would. The movie covers a specific arc and then the story continues with season 2. Hope this helps 😁

Lordxni

i would say watch the movie but before that watch the first episode of season 2

3lim64

just watch the mugen train arc of season 2. the movie is a condensed trailer of the show. so the show has scenes in some of the epsiodes that are not shown in the movie

Airbear804

The movie leaves out some info

KatyRose

Watch the first episode of Season 2, watch the movie, then skip straight to the beginning of the Entertainment District arc! Little confusing, but they basically split up the movie into episodes. Only the 1st episode of season 2 is new content until ep 8.

Kaito Guest

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 1 (2019) Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train (2020) Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 (2021)

Ashley Martin

The episodes are kind of just recaps for the movie. Just watch the movie then move on to season 2 the entertainment district

Tempestz !

Dont watch the movie, watch all of season two, the mugen train arc and entertainment district arc
