The Thomas Retrospective: Season 4 Early Access Available Now!

Fond memories of getting the VHS tapes for this and Season 3. I always preferred season 2 as a kid because I was a massive Edward and Duck fan, but I've grown to appreciate the Narrow gauge stories nowadays - so many beautiful sets. Just a shame they couldn't squeeze Super Rescue into this series before moving away from the Awdry stories. It would have been a perfect season finale - especially after you highlighted that Henry has been humbled all the way through the season. Seeing him emerge triumphant at the end would have been epic.

Great video. Season 4 really is beautiful to look at.

I used to buy the compilation videos when I was a kid and because the episodes were arranged in order of season, the Narrow Gauge episodes were always towards the end. I didn’t have all the episodes, but they were always the ones I looked forward to the most.

I sadly don’t remember what vhs tapes I had of the show but I vaguely remember me putting them in a line in my floor when I lived in Germany back in 1997 so I had a lot of them! I was age 3.

Me too, Season 4 was the first time I was introduced to Thomas in my whole childhood. Two episodes from that season were on the VHS Sing Along Songs (later titled Hop on board: Songs and Stories in the 2009 DVD release) I’ve seen were Peter Sam and the Refreshment Lady Stand and Bulldog. They are so Sentimental to me that I can definitely relive again and again!

Love how you disperse clips from both narrators through out the video to keep hammering home how both brought their A-game. Angelis’ Smudger laugh and Carlin’s whole George voice slay me XD Your montage of the sets just made me want to watch The Whole season again lol

Season 4 is Absolutely the Best Season of Thomas in my Opinion It never got better. I might be Childhood Nostalgia since I grew up with Season 4.

Season 4 will always have a special place in my heart, and this video was an excellent tribute to it. I have very fond memories of watching the episodes as a kid on VHS. As such, it was nice to be reminded of some of my favorite moments in the show, such as the viaduct shot in Rusty to the Rescue, and some of my favorite scenes, such as the overall shot of Lakeside and the shot down to Glennock.
