2022-07-22 13:31:11 +0000 UTCA lot of people say the Down the Mine pilot wouldn't have been narrated by Ringo Starr. After Britt Allcroft approached him, the Railway Series version of Down the Mine was the story Ringo read and sent back to her as an audition tape. My theory is that that's why this story was chosen to adapt for the pilot, and that this recording may have been used as its soundtrack.
