I had the same reaction for this as when I was watching Fragments: At the beginning: Jasper! :-) Towards the end: Jasper :-( I really liked this though! I love the different dynamic of the homeworld trio.

P.S. the color gradient is GORGEOUS! The detail in the pacing and the color shows, we can see how hard you worked :)

With Jasper almost immediately taken off the board but after a good show, it'll be interesting to see what Peridot and Lapis do, with Lapis being a... well, Lapis, and Peridot being able to control the fire the hand ship, this isn't done yet

I think the cheap trick was Rose pretending to be beaten by staying on the ground in order to get Jasper to put her guard down. But idk.

...So, Jasper said Rose was cheating because, as far as I can tell, Rose learned martial arts while she was on Earth. That's a new one. I've always wondered if Homeworld really thinks of martial arts as even a thing - like, do soldier gems teach each other how to fight more effectively like how Pearl learned to fight? Is there an actual style to each gem like what humans have, or do they just go at it head to head with raw strength? Also, seeing Peridot and Lapis's faces when Jasper poofed herself by attacking Steven? Priceless. Good work on that.

I'm sure you know this, but fans in many cultures are used both in dance and in battle, so it really fits her! I'm also interested to see how this goes now considering that it's just a vastly different place then where everyone was at during cannon season 1. I'm just so pumped!!!

Oh good GOD!! This was amazing🤩 Jasper literally smashed her helmet and poofed herself on Stevens gem!! And it was a valuable lesson; don't try and slam head-first into a diamond💎 I also love how Cannon Jasper is, right when she starts losing she start calling whatever tactic her opponent uses a cheap trick, then immediately tries it herself. i can't wait for the next chapter!
